1969 Dodge Charger.

Probably get a very nice one for under £100k still (prices are all over the place and a bit mental with shells fetching 5 figures) but I'd love to do exactly as you say, drive one about for a day.

For me, just a total event to be in and around let alone drive. Doesn't matter that they handle like a ship and they're too big to fit anywhere rofl
A 68 for me, but I'd settle on a 69 if I had to. biggrin

I'd love a classic British or Italian sports car. Something light & revvy.

But I also have a secret hankering for the complete opposite of that - a mid 60s Lincoln Continental convertible with the suicide doors. Black with chrome trim. Whitewall tyres.

Excluding existing cars I would say Lamborghini Espada.
Are they back under £100k now?

There are a couple for sale in Europe at just over €100k, so you might just get one for under £100k.
(The Espanda isn't the only car mentioned on this thread which would break the £100k barrier by quite a margin)

Buying for a £100K is all well and good, but I need to run it, add to this I’m a man of simple means, with little imagination, this will do me.

Yes, really I really would prefer this to an E30 M3.

I was never ambitious but always loved the Elan Plus 2, so I bought a basket case and after 5 years hard work ended up with this.

Put 15k miles on that car and loved it, only to sell it when I reached the stage when it was fully developed and could not really be made any better.

Missed it so much that I'm on to my second restoration of a Plus 2. I just love them even though many do not - such an underrated car and delightful to drive

..the story so far on nr 2. A bad does of loss of mojo has stalled things for nearly a year but this summer I intend to push on and finish it.

Changes constantly but would be:

Citroen SM
Gordon Keeble
Sunbeam Tiger mk2
Jaguar XK150 FHC
Austin Healey 3000
Porsche 911 2.4

I'd be over the moon with any one of those. smile

Just for a day ? One of these. Don’t think I could live with one, as just too impractical for me but ❤️

No delusions of grandeur here, always wanted an MK1 MR2 T-top when I was a kid. I've never sat in, nor driven one. Might well be a don't meet your heros thing.I'd also be quite partial to a restomod of some ilk, a 190E with a C63 engine in etc.

An easy choice I thought, either a Talbot 105, preferably one of the works cars (BGH 23 would do nicely) or an ERA, Romulus or Remus - I'm not fussed which.

I think I may have blown the budget though.

You can, it won’t be perfect but should be perfectly serviceable.

I wouldn't be able to make up my mind! I'd be torn between a

Jensen Interceptor (SP ideally)
BMW M635CSi

I go through phases of what I'd like but I've always wanted a Morgan since I was 7 so that would be my go to but I would also like something American like a Corvette or a Challenger
