Frank Warren was just on TalkSport saying the same, while also having a massive argument with Simon Jordan..
Ha!! There's a shocker!
Mental health card played. Is always being held ready.

Tbh to Frank, he represents a very temperamental fighter; Fury's whole family are sensitive to criticism at the best of times. Unless Frank is prepared to put up an aggressive defence, Fury is likely to conclude he is 'one of the enemy', and hence he loses his key asset, and hence one of the big reasons Frank gets to put on the Saudi shows for 'His Excellency'. If I was Frank, as I would feel compelled to say the same type of things biggrin

The way pundits and promoters put Fury's bullstting and ishness down to "bipolar" is genuinely ableist. Bipolar causes major shifts in mood, energy and concentration. It doesn't make you a lying tt, that's all Fury.

Has anyone seen Turki's insta post of Fury getting rocked usyk in round 9, I wonder if the bromance is over because he is only interested in winners?!
I saw the post from him gushing that usyk gave him his gloves from the fight and the hat from the ring walk... definitely number one fanboy now!

Agreed

Tyson Fury and his father are just bad people plain and simple. You can't play the mental health card (which is rubbish as he was on the naughty step for being a drug cheat in his "crisis"... Chicken and egg?) and then make quite personal comments about opposition.

Furys trash talk game isn't even that good a lot of the fascination with him is just laughing at the stuff he says.

I've not really gone in on Fury after the loss it's extremely satisfying to see him beaten and it tells you everything that he blamed the war for his loss! In that situation any right minded person would have shown some humility after getting bashed about as he did.

Usyk has always been pure class to me he's more of an English gentleman than Fury or his appalling oaf of a father could ever dream about.

Can't see him taking the rematch it's obviously what he's going to say right now as it's a bargaining chip against Eddie for the AJ fight.

After Fury AJ the division is looking a bit bare the coming year or two will see Fury/AJ/Usyk/Wilder retire have we seen all we need to see from those fighters? The next batch of world champions is likely to be done middle of the road dudes like Dubois.....we need some fresh blood soon!

My big hopes for Dubious are long extinguished. Massive power but lacking heart. Why aren't America churning out heavyweights like previously and why does the UK heavily make up the list of top ranked fighters?

Prevailing theory over there is that boxing isn't as big as it used to be, while Basketball and NFL have grown, which attracts the athletes that might have previously pursued boxing and are HW sized.

I must admit i i don't want the rematch as here is always the chance he wins.

I think usyk winning was a much bigger achievement than if fury had won.
Such is the size difference.

Not surprised he wanted the hat and gloves as they will be worth a bob or two.

Plus UFC is stealing a lot of the limelight

I think Moses Itauma could be extra special. Dubois might win something, but he doesn't have heart or the punch resistance, AJ is nearing the end of his career. Likewise Ruiz. Parker might pick up a belt but if I had to bet on a dominant exciting heavyweight coming through it would be Moses.

It would be interesting to know how many potential boxers are put off by how chaotically it's run.

I'd look at the mashup of fiefdoms, fixes, dead ends, agendas and pure murk and shop elsewhere too.

Isn’t it simpler than that?

Top flight boxing used to be a dream for kids from rough areas, something to aspire to. A way out and up.

A lot of families at that level aren’t watching a £25+ fight on a whim. That is potentially the difference between eating and not.

If they aren’t watching and being inspired, they aren’t putting themselves into a sport that may as well not exist.

That makes sense.

It's not as if boxing is any less disgusting than it used to be, and is probably a fair bit more palatable.

Of course they are watching, they are not paying the £25+ but they are watching.

By and large the gyms they went to don't exist anymore as well

20 million apparently watched Saturday night illegally, although more surprising was 19% of them were in the U.K.

Maybe boxing just isn’t that big in America anymore?

Americans lose interest in anything they're not the best in the world at. It dents their belief in 'American Exceptionalism'.

The timezone probably helped us out too. 11pm is a lot more palatable than staying up until 6am.

If you're talking about America, erm...
