Just imagine if Fury pulled out at this late stage lol

Not many comments on here about Furys eye, and the likelyhood that the cut reopens.
If so I expect to see Fury continuously dab his eye with the little dip of the head he does.
Corner pull him out stating it was a bad cut etc.

Likely Fury behind on the cards and looking like hes struggling. This will allow Fury some level of justification to say he would ghave won as he was saving himself for the later stages of the fight.

I'm also expecting something dirty from Fury, maybe he will try another elbow.

Who knows lots of variables

I expect that eye will have a target on it.

Weight loss will expose it more as well even if just very marginally.

It was a ceremonial weigh in. Think they had already been weighed before?
It was a ceremonial weigh in for all the undercard fighters but it was a genuine one for fury and Usyk. They don’t need to rehydrate up or anything do they so makes no difference to them.

Lots of healthy debate on here though and it’s Defo a hard fight to pick. I wouldn’t bet on it but il go for fury on points atm but il probably change my mind 10 times today

Pity they won't allow radio coverage of the fight, the more money they get paid the further away from the general public these events get, shame really.

As an ageing 50year old man myself who still spars with the younger lads....the power is there and so is my fitness

What I have lost is reactions (am a lot easier to hit and evade punches) and punch absorption

It's just so much harder and I'm super fit and in great shape
This illustrates the danger that Tyson faces, namely thinking that you've still got it when you haven't. He could end up getting hurt simply because even by a very poor young boxer because he just doesn't have the ability he had as a young man.

The original cut was caused by a southpaw as well. Wouldn't be surprised to see Fury try to fight a lot of this one in southpaw as well to protect it

The only problem Fury isn't that good as a southpaw. Certainly not good enough to trouble Usyk boxing as one.

Yes, magically went from totally st to a world class boxing God cos he got a new trainer. Nothing to do with the level of opposition...

Let's ignore that AJ looked great in the second Usyk fight, and that he'd won 9 title fights before he fought him
You mean the second fight when he had a mental breakdown in front of the crowd? Got it.

He did have an episode after the fight... Very bizarre.... But that's got nothing to do with how he actually performed in the fight itself, and the way he boxed in that second fight was absolutely brilliant.

Agreed. Any heavyweight in history would have found AJ a handful that night. Losing a boxing match is no shame at all when you perform to that standard and he was still standing and throwing at the final bell.

It is testament to the brilliance of Usyk that he found a way to win against AJ in that second fight.

The second Usyk fight was the best I've seen AJ by a long way. And he really had success in around 8 and 9 from memory...and again, by body shots. Usyk has looked uncomfortable when fighters go to his body, perhaps a genuine physical 'weakness ', definitely not through a lack of preparation!! I have been vocal about where and why I rank Fury and I'm not getting into another slagging match. Sadly, and I've said this before, I don't think we will ever see the 'best' Fury could have been but I hope he has one more big hurrah in him. I won't be disappointed, or surprised, if Usyk wins but as many have said, he hasn't sold himself to me at the weight yet. AJ was MADE for him, styles make fights. I'd expect Fury to handle AJ with similar ease, he's all sorts of wrong for AJ, although the AJ of the second fight is a handful for any heavyweight.

Can't wait for tonight, wonder if Fury has anything left after his histrionics and posturing. I've always felt the best Fury beats them all, including Usyk, but as another sage poster said, it's not about 'best' versions, it's about who turns up tonight.

Just watching the intro for the first fight. My god the place is dead. Not a single bit of atmosphere.

I realise it’s the first fight of a big undercard but if I’d paid that much for a ticket I sure as hell would be there for all the fights.

Yeah I was at the first 2 Fury vs Wilder fights and watched all of the undercard. Was dead until we got to a couple of fights before main event and still only half full. For the first couple of fights it felt like me, the judges and the corner

Man, very jealous. We can question Wilder's ability all night, but that trilogy was bloody good, wasn't it?

It was - I'm gutted I didn't go to the third, was annoyed it was happening and blocking undisputed so didn't bother. Also thought it'd be routine for Tyson.

The 2nd fight was the last live event I could attend before Covid, and the last time I was allowed to fly. Their 3rd fight was just as flight restrictions from Canada were lifted, and could have been the first event I attended post covid.

Is anyone paying for this via: https://www.dazn.com/en-GB/welcome ? The way it looks is that I have to pay a monthly subscription then 25 quid for the fight, am I reading this wrong? TIA!
