Pics of your offroaders...

Not 4x4, but 6x6.
It's an Alvis Salamander, heavily modified for offroad use. 6.65L Rolls Royce straight 8 petrol engine, 240bhp. 5-speed pre-selector transmission (selectable forward and reverse). Permanent 6x6 with only one differential and pretty much unstoppable. Almost amphibious but not quite (it's sister vehicle the Stalwart is the one that floats). Here's some pics, during the build, completed and of course the proper muddy pics :-)
Thanks :-)

Must be Epynt then, unfortunately I wont be out at the weekend have been out of action for nearly a year after an operation on my back. I'll mention to Simon Clark that you're out though.
Yup - Harry FlattersI've had a pic off Simon as well I think - I'll watch his site then, thanks
Sorry to hear about your back - I had a discectomy and Wallis ligament done a couple of years ago, made such a difference.

We had Stalwarts as limbers for the guns in Germany years ago - I have fond memories messing about on knife edges trying to balance them on the middle wheels It's an Alvis Salamander, heavily modified for offroad use. 6.65L Rolls Royce straight 8 petrol engine, 240bhp. 5-speed pre-selector transmission (selectable forward and reverse). Cheers - lol, will try and get some suitable action pics!
I love that Isuzu, only ever seen 1 on the road and the way you've prepared it is great, very tastefull! Is that the British Gypsum mine at Brightling you're in?
No, its the "5 Piliers" former salt mine/ammunition dump just north of Paris on one of the www.fourwheeldriveclub.com trips. It's a mix of above and below ground stuff - really good fun.I love that Isuzu, only ever seen 1 on the road and the way you've prepared it is great, very tastefull! Always had a soft spot for the Vehicross. Does the TOD system behave itself in general?
The TOD system was the same as I had in the Amigo. Vacuum activated transfer case box. I had to use it stopped, as it got crunchy for some reason. All worked fine in lo range despite. I prefer a mechanical lo-range now, though. some great machines here!
here's mine as it was earlier in the year. i recently sheared a shock and the garage fked the transfer case so i've a bit of work to do before i can get out in the dunes again this winter.
PS - if anyone knows where i can buy bilstein 5100's for a 3" lifted wrangler in the UK i would be very grateful. can't get any here, even from the billie importer.
