What a strange thing to be interested in. Why on earth would you wonder that?
Because if it was a £2m house he could have bought it cash or had a £1,5m mortgage.
who cares? Would you also like to know how much cash is in his pocket right now? Or what he eats for breakfast?

1.2M views as at 1053 today. Jeez, I imagine his ‘competitors’ would kill for that sort of exposure.

It does make me laugh when the cliché comes out about hard work paying off.

Is it hard work when you're enjoying yourself? I think it's much harder when you're not.
Find a job doing something you enjoy and make it pay? I did and highly recommend it. If your going to spend a large part of your life doing something. Make sure you enjoy it.

I posted this in the main Youtube thread, forgot there was a specific Matt one, so thought Id copy it across.

I really enjoyed that video, and echo the well done Matt comments made above!

I didn't get any smugness or bragging vibes from the video at all, more an inspirational vibe.

Just a down to earth, hard working guy and his genuine girlfriend done good.

I think his whole crew around him massively helps, especially Hannah and "Matts Dad" as everyone calls him! Keeps him and the whole thing grounded and real, you just get no sense of fakeness or agenda from any of them.

Hats off, they are genuinely enjoying life, clear to see and it comes across well in the videos!

Wish them all well.

Watched half of that video last night and had me wishing I could work out how to do something I love and get paid for it. I just cannot imagine waking up on a Monday morning excited to crack on again doing the thing I loved with £££ coming my way for doing it. Sadly I don't think I'll ever come close to work out what that thing might be.

Pretty natural to wonder about his finances if you're at all interested in business or property! I think the house is around £1.6-1.7m.

Love MA videos and one of only a handful of creators that I watch as soon as the video pops up!

He clearly works harder than 99% of the population and it's incredibly inspiring to see it pay off.

Fair play to him, I've watched for about 18 months now, before he go the audience he has now anyway, I watch a few of the rebuild channels and I'd have to say his is the only one I religiously watch. (nod to the font!)

Very engaging and good projects even though I'm not a supercar fan.

People will always be curious on finances, they always are, I work in the commercial world and find the almost instant wealth fascinating not just Mat but people like Mr Beast that my kids watch (and me!), YouTube must be paying out millions monthly and I pay £12 a month and never see an advert, I find it interesting just where all the money comes from!

I was more wondering about the reaction of the estate agent...

Mat - "I've come in to enquire about the house in the window"

Estate Agent immediately thinks of the run down terrace up for £80k - "Which one?"

Mat points to the picture.

Mat - "Do you have a spare keyboard? You've spilt your coffee."

I think that would have rapidly moved to a pre-viewing vetting process (i.e. prove to me you can afford this) conversation that, let's say not everyone would be exposed to. Sadly, such is the way.

I think the inference is about Mat's appearance, rather than his age.

However, I disagree regarding 'anyone' being exposed to a pre-viewing vetting. In this day and age, you're not getting near a viewing on a house such as this without backing up your ability to actually buy it.

There's too many dreamers around, willing to waste people's time.

Echoing much of the above. Well done Mat (and Hannah, who I am sure he would say he couldn't have done it without). Who could have known that crashing a car could lead to a huge house and massive success.

As an aspiring YouTuber myself it's a lovely thing to see. Achieving big things IS possible, if you have the drive and dedication to chase it. The whole camaraderie between everyone involved is a big part of what makes the videos fun and I'm glad it feels like everyone involved has remained relatively humble. Keep up the good work!

Fair play to the guy really happy for him, great grounds and interesting house but the definition of higgledy-piggledy imo, sure he will make it fab but houses like this give me nightmares ,I viewed one myself it was three cottages knocked together, the rooms upstairs all had either three steps up or three steps down to go in them.
