Flooded car is not worth repairing, blown engine plus it will be a nightmare to sort the electronics following water ingress.

I also suspect it is a Cat B or S.
Tell Freddie that lol
Freddie is not repairing the flood damaged car, he is taking the parts from it to put the other doner car back on the road.

I think he was referring to the Mclaren P1/Submarine Freddie is also in the process of rebuilding.

Which has a certificate of destruction issued and cannot go back on the road (not that it matters as I doubt it will ever be finished)

But in most cases flood damage cars are cat b due to the risk of contamination.

What makes you think the P1 won’t get finished? They’re making progress

Presumably because he failed to finish a project once, so now "Freddie never finishes anything"...

He's got too much invested in this one not to finish it.

I think some of the appeal to these guys (including Jack Builds) is that they fix cars that people say are too far gone and show how they've done it.

Most garages (understandably) don't want to touch big jobs, so it's almost like discovering a lost art.

Most garages don't get the chance because the big jobs take time and time = ££££

This last video is the first I couldn't be bothered watching to the end. Maybe there's too many or it's all just started to get a bit dull.

It's a shame as I've really enjoyed most of his stuff along the way since when I started watching from his TT repair days.

The end was the best. You really missed out.

Only discovered Mat a few months ago and have really enjoyed his content so far but can't get any enthusiasm for the Rolls or Lambo rebuild. Be good to see more modern classics (like the Murci and F430 etc).

At what price point do insurers decided not to declare CAT S status. ? -although ,as with Mat's car there will be photo evidence of any damage?

Thanks - you've convinced me to go back to it.

The other night, I just felt I'd had enough of it but will try again over the weekend.
