Summer has finally arrived up here in the NW Highlands. It's started raining.

Still... Spring was fab. Now we have the transition to wet.

GC's stunning picture and admission of rain in NW Scotland can only mean one thing.

Summer is coming - here comes some warmth.

(this thread is now dead - head to the summer thread)

Flooded garden (yet again) near Gatwick. A truly dismal day.
Yep me too. Ridiculously heavy at times. Classic bank holiday

Getting real sick of the ‘oh my god it’s sunny quick get outside’ because it only lasts an hour at a time.
Yep same here near Gatwick also. Could not have been worse for a Bank Holiday, would’ve been awful for a normal working Monday even….

Was meant to view a car but as car viewing rule no 1 is ‘Do not view a car in the rain.’ postponed t’ill tomorrow.

Heading to the summer thread. Don’t expect me to be happy. When it’s snowing here in June I’ll shout it from the rooftops!

Snoring in Colorado!

We'll, up in Breckenridge at least. 6".

Nothing where I am, though.

Six inch snores? Is that extra loud, or a smore that's constructed of far more layers than usual? smile

Genuinely feels like a very wet day in early March on the East Coast today.

11 degrees and wetter than an otters pocket.

My GF was bugging me to buy some expensive garden table with nice chairs. They were lovely, and the most comfortable ones I've tried.

I just couldn't bring myself to buy something that would:

(1) Be ruined by the huge trees around the house and garden - they drop thousands of little seeds/leaves/twigs/debris continually

but more apparent:

(2) Be usable for just a handful of days in the year

...

Will still get something for the garden, but a cheaper version, not one that was costing over £1000.

Real feel of 6 degrees in Leeds this morning. Was cold in the non-winter duvet last night. Ridiculous.

Driving along yesterday in the North east cold and slightly windy , some leaves were coming off the trees and blowing across the road, Autumn has arrived.
