Gud moaning one an dawl!
I say "good", but there are few rays of sunshine about, all is doom and gloom, and the weather's the same.
A successful visit to the dentist yesterday, my fangs have been fettled and de-coked by the nice hygenist with the lovely eyes and a ninterest in cars, so that part passed amiably, followed by the dentist and my good self trying to remember the titles of all of the Bond films, which I think we managed to achieve.
I took the scenic route home.
Today promises some morning steppage, and an afternoon watching Public Enemy No 1, Paula "Cruella" Vennells being fricasseed by the inquisitors at the Post Office Horizon Inquiry, an enjoyable spectacle for anybody not directly affected by the appalling miscarriage of justice. I do hope that Mr Beer has slept well, and his pencil is fully sharpened.
Somebody has to do this stuff. The rest of you can get on with "real" life...

If you needed car bodywork doing when ar were a lad, you went to Marvellous Mac in Yateley. He would stalk round your car sucking air through his teeth. "Yeah, twe... twe... thir... thir... Insurance job is it? Fifty quid." While you'd been 'negotiating' a kitten would have been playing round your feet. He was plagued with kittens. While she should have been attending to the mouse population, the workshop cat was instead being generous with her favours and adding to the kitten population for Mac to give away. "Do you like that cat? Have it. I'll spray it any colour you like."

Actually, it rather helpfully narrows down the options. The Twizy and Sinclair C5 are the only really affordable single seaters around. Oh ffs.

I have booked the C-Ma_ a Nemo T test at 14:00hrs
I hope he can be saved.
I have been for a dental check up to establish how many remain. Apparently those monoliths still present are in remarkably fine fettle considering the way I have abused and mistreated the poor little gnashers.
I have emptied out the boot, removed the kiddie seats and general detritus and run the engine up to temp and checked the important electrical functions.
I shall drive the long way to the MoT test centre to clean up the brake discs. I have wire brushed the worst surface rust from them because the car has effectively not been off my drive since the end of October last year.
I have been moving it regularly to avoid flat-spotting the tyres, and run the engine periodically to keep it in fine fettle and to keep the battery charged.
I hope I shall soon be able to return once more to my philosophy of The Joy of Shedding, doing my bit to prolong the usable life of a perfectly viable and economical 18-yr-old, thereby avoiding all the devastating pollution generated by the manufacture of a new EV to purportedly take its' place on our precious planet at huge environmental and human cost resulting from the mining of rare earth metals such as cobalt, nickel and lithium.
My next project will be to recommission Percy, my 34-yr-old TVR S3c, and get back to helping global warming.
It's still persisting down out there. I shall take a brolly fir the walk back.
Interestingly, the 3½ weeks of roadworks nearby that have caused huge traffic tailbacks and congestion, with several 4-way traffic lights and contraflows and detours, considerable delays and inconvenience to local residents has now been completed.
The purpose? To run cables from a electricity substation to a municipal car park ¾ of a mile distant,in order to supply a number of public EV Charge Points which will be installed imminently.
No doubt there will be local power outages or dimming lights whenever a number of EV owners opt to select the fast charge option.
IOTN, Today is Robbopoppetlet's 6th Birthday.
A small family gathering is planned after school to celebrate the occasion.
My bro-in-law and my nephew have planned calling in on their way oop norf in a big RV motorhome.
Parking may be a problem.
I sincerely hope that P5BNij is okay, I am concerned by his lack of Ninky-Nonk related updates.
Ah well, I'd better get cracking. Wish me luck.

Arrived home In the rain, got straight on the exercise bike, still on it 20 minutes later!!!
