Autosport reporting that Red Bull have made a play for Albon from 2026.
That's disappointing. If Red Bull continues to have a colossal advantage we as viewers really would have more entertainment if a non-lackey was in the second car there.
Agreed, but will never happen.
Isn't Verstappen's deal up in 26? There's nothing to say he won't take the early F1 retirement he's said he wants to take to go and do WEC/run his sports car team/young driver program.

2028.

Anyway, I thought Albon has previously said he doesn't want to go back there.

I'm delighted that Lewis is going to Ferrari. Even if it all goes horribly wrong, I don't think it will have been a mistake. He's the most successful driver in the history of the sport and has nothing to prove. He has seven 'official' titles and, let's face it, eight, really.

If he goes the Fearrai and wins a race, it will be epic. Several races, even more epic.

Spices things up a bit... F1 really needs all the help it can get.
(Ditto... If Fernando goes to Mercedes...)

Do you need a hug? Maybe it's time to get some counselling?

It seems to be a lot of fuss over nothing. One senior guy with no prior F1 links has left, so what?

It does but I still wouldn't be surprised if Audi don't make it onto the grid ...

Just imagine if they sold up to Andretti..... that really would be the ultimate FU from Andretti to FOM/Liberty hehe
