I haven't seen anyone post about this yet..

"Most people never meet their heroes. Logan Sargeant gets to race his. Michelob ULTRA Lap of Legends is a real race. On a real track. Between Williams Racing's current driver, Logan Sargeant, and six legendary champions."

I've watched the video and I'm still none the wiser about wtf this is all about. Apparently the slowest current driver in F1 is going to race against 'virtual avatars', whatever that means.

Something like that, Its not bad to be fair. The tech is in Logan's helmet. It really shows you how big modern cars are.

Very cool actually. If unrestricted, and pedalled by Alex, what would the outcome have been?

The outcome would have been whatever the producer wanted surely. It’s all scripted outcome with computer generated cars although I wonder how they decided who got to win….

One of the legendary drivers in the "race" is stated to be 1982 (sic) Champion Mario Andretti, presumably like most of the others, driving a Williams. They also show Alain Prost, who did win in 1993 in a Wiiliams, but as Champion in 1985 when he drove McLaren.
So Alan Jones is omitted altogether and Keke Rosberg's year is credited to Prost.

Not very well researched!

With a rumoured budget of 10 million dollars you would think they would have got everything exactly right!

Although he wasn't a world champion that year, Andretti did drive for Williams in 1982. He filled in as a super sub for the AWOL Reutemann at Long Beach and no doubt helped to put a few bums on seats as well.

It also states that Villeneuve won a dramatic race to finish world champion at Jerez but he never won that race!

Who could forget - "You've hit the wrong part of him, my friend!"
