While I appreciate that classics/ older cars aren't everyone's cup of tea, from a genre that's existed since the sixties this feels like a very "new" selection.

I'd probably reach back a bit further and include, for example, a Miura or Countach, 512BB, 959 and F40 / 288 GTO and the like.

However, unlike PH editorial staff, I'm old enough to remember them smile

3k miles.

Yeah must be an exhilarating drivers car, sat in a garage.

That's the fate of most of these cars from new, bought by peacocks, only ever used to mince about a few miles and give it a blip (but only when there are plenty of people watching), and then eventually just an investment where driving it is the last thing the owner wants to do.

It is rather smashing on the vanishingly rare occasions you see one being spanked though, or see one with some real miles on it that has actually been used as a car not a trinket. There are quite a few supercars of all sorts on PH with plenty of miles and stonechips, being used as intended.

The Diablo for me, one would be my first big lotto win purchase

As an aside, the McLaren shows that supercars nowadays have become so uninteresting, I could easily walk past modern day supercars without a care in the world

I mean I’d take all of them, 430 scud is the newest my Ferrari interest goes nothing newer pulls at heart strings.
Diablo always loved after hearing something incredible while playing in my back garden as a kid, running out front to see a Diablo idling away, doors up, on the vicars drive no less. What a thing! And this was before internet so such sights were extremely rare.
LFA and CGT both sound fantastic I’d have either.

Mclaren and 430? Good, very good, but hardly bucket list. If you've got million pound plus cars on the list then why not the F40, Chiron etc etc?

I wouldn't say no to any of them, but I think the Diablo gets the overall nod from me. I've never liked the way the Carrera GT looks, but my goodness they do sound great though I reckon.

Problem is with this article it's just "cars we have on our classifieds" rather than an actual effort to make a super car bucket list

Perhaps too “cheap” (price wise), compared to this lot.

Out of what looks like a really bad list, the XJ220 followed by the Diablo.

Of those the LFA but I’d sell in an instant to make room for a Zonda.

If the question is six supercars I'd choose, cost no object, I'd think I'd pick:

GMA T.33 Spider
Pagani Zonda
Ferrari F50
McLaren F1
Lamborghini Countach
Lamborghini Miura

all relatively small light cars with naturally aspirated V12s

That Diablo, bloody hell, perfect. Peak Lambo there.

Those knocking the 430, have you driven a Scud? They are nuts, a proper experience and well worth being included here.
I was at Sant’agata a few months back, they have a small but excellent museum. There is peek lambo….

Then there is peak Lambo…

Then there is PEAK Lambo…

And then of course my PEAK Lamborghini for my bucket list!

The Diablo 6.0 is the magnum opus of the range. That's the one for me and the 675LT.

The base F430 is an ugly design but the Scuderia is the road Ferrari which received more inputs from Michael Schumacher, so should definitely be on this list.
