I think it's great! But it does make me fancy a curry.
I'm getting visions of 1970's New York Pimp mobile for some reason. Needs some fluffy dice and a leopard print dash cover.
I've actually got a car that colour.

How did they get to look like that? Mine are 16 years old and still look brand new.

No idea, I’ve only had the car just over a week.

Every 997 I viewed had switches like that, or had been replaced with the hard plastic ones like I’ve fitted.

Does anyone know if this price of trim is available on its own, the little bit underneath the handbrake? Mines got a deep scratch, and I’d like to replace it if it’s not stupid money.

I think it is the best looking 997 ever, more so than the sport classic.

Perhaps it is because I never touch mine. Set to Auto at 20C and just let the climate do its thing.

The exterior stripes look like they might be Rubystone?

The 70s custom van interior, the exterior carbon, the stripes, the main grey colour, the dark-painted wheels - I dislike all of it and I would be embarrassed to drive it.

Exactly

It's like someone went to Halfords and bought anything on offer

Same here, and mine are in pretty good condition. Annoyingly the only time they get used is when I take it to be serviced. Suppose I should be happy as it means they've tested / run the climate control perhaps?

Re the car above:

1. Good work for changing the levers
2. I think they get ruined by people that don't quite get "climate control" and continually set the system themselves.... this is like 90% of car users I think!

Just recommissioned my old 997RS from winter storage.

This season needed:

New tires /sensors etc
New A/C-leaking evaporator. Not cheap.

Last year I replaced the PCM with the OEM modern replacement which of course looks completely stock.

Still, its a nice old thing which I have had since new ( Nov 2007) and it has had plenty of adventures.

That’s lovely, such a shame they didn’t offer a wider selection of bright colours for the regular models.
