Value loss vs Enjoyment Loss

I'm asking on a car forum about the potential to haggle a better price due to it's lack of appropriate service history. I have 10 other cars to enjoy so overspending on a Ferrari is likely to give me enjoyment loss, go back to your echo chamber and step away from the keyboard.

2012 458 didn’t have its first service until 2015 but it had done only 4K miles. Then it was serviced annually and it’s had 6 owners.
How much should this worry me as a prospective buyer and what kind of value loss should this incur?
I think I would want some recognition in the price and a warranty (ideally confirmation that a Ferrari warranty was available) but if it was otherwise the one I wanted it wouldn't put me off. Maybe I would compromise less for spec and colour for this car at a pinch. Already maybe less relevant and after a few years in your ownership disappearing into rounding error irrelevance? If you planned to sell it reasonably quickly then I guess it is more relevant as if you are asking the question, the next buyer might too. FWIW I had a relatively high mileage 458 spyder - 30'000 miles at the time, about 5 years ago. I always felt that the mechanicals seemed really strong. Purely subjective of course. The interior wasn't as well put together. I bought it from a main dealer so had the ferrari warranty, but never needed it.
Agree with you about the spyder, it did flex way more than I liked and being a fat bald middle aged man came to the conclusion that open top wasn't for me.
Replaced it with a 488 hard top which to this day I regret selling. It was better in every way except noise.

I would. If it was priced to reflect this (would need to be 50% of a garage queen price I suppose before any fixes or replacements needed) and if it could be warrantied by Ferrari. It seems to be a lot more common in the US for 458s to have very high mileage.
A couple of nice ones sold on CC recently for around £100k so it needs to be priced around £90k to shift ideally and also backed up with a history of what's been rebuilt/replaced Gassing Station | Ferrari V8 | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
