Wow so I can't have a holiday? Or go on work-related events? I can't complain about stupid speed limits either... my clean license shows my observations are good!

I've already said that I'll be writing a letter this weekend - along lines of "I returned the form, signed and completed on line with instructions given on the same"

End of the day, if they want something from me, or for me to do anything they'll have to fit around my diary/existing commitments - in this circumstance I'll not be putting myself out. Owing to past experience I've got little respect for the police (COVID, most interactions etc) - when they do something to earn it (unlikely) my attitude may change.
That's a lot of words to say "I caused her to fall over"

I had nothing to do with the woman's fall, her actions deserve a Darwin Award tbh, thankfully it was me there.

Fail to see how it gets that far - even then they can set a date and I can rearrange, and worst case they're paying my day rate in costs

Because you're failing in your obligations under S172 RTA.

How? As I've said - I've sent the form back, in the time limit, completed to the letter. I have fulfilled my obligation.

Just a word of warning. People have tried to get off speeding tickets by being less than honest filling in the forms, and have then been imprisoned for pcoj.
ETA spelling!
yes My next door neighbour in an average 50 limit thought he was cleverer than they were. Went on for quite a while but in the end he went to Jail.

Edit to add. Stupid thing was if he'd have been sensible he would have been offered speed awareness course.

This was my last motoring related interaction - 45 minutes of robust discussion at the roadside followed before the little hitler backed off

It's got to be a wind-up but sadly I suspect it isn't.

Huh? I've not turned anything off, intentionally anyway.

This was only updated to discuss within an AD group of which I'm a member. The appraisal - literally nothing wrong with the overtake, textbook, yet I get pulled for it. I don't know what your problem with it is tbh.

...woman (black, wearing all black) ran from behind a stopped bus...in front of me when riding in normal flowing traffic.... Owing to her being all black, it being dark, oncoming headlights, poor street lighting and light drizzle she was near invisible until right in front of me. I anchored on and somehow avoided her as she fell and face planted the road...

I stopped and called an ambulance as she'd cut her lip...

Obviously I'm not at fault and have not had an accident but how best do I tell the police
Under the The Road Traffic Act 1988 a collision and accident are the same thing. There doesn't need to be physical contact between you and the pedestrian.

Your presence caused her to fall and injure herself. She may have some blame appropriated to her which could be mitigating circumstances but she still fell because of your presence. Had you not been there she wouldn't have fallen, had she ran across the road 5 seconds earlier, or later, she wouldn't have fell over because you wouldn't have been present to cause her to fall.

'....owing to the presence of a mechanically propelled vehicle on a road or other public place an accident occurs by which—

(a)personal injury is caused to a person other than the driver of that mechanically propelled vehicle.....'

Those first few words^^^ are relevant, as the woman fell over because of your presence.

By contrast, if you were driving on a road with nobody else present and somehow flipped your car over causing a complete write off, and you lost all your limbs and became paralysed, it would not be classed as an RTC, as there was no other vehicle present.
