overdoing the military side of it though, as its clear that there watches are only Inspired-by rather than actually used by.

Wasn't me, was it? I hope not. This is one of the friendliest threads I follow on PH.

Ah, yes.biglaugh
We do have a habit of encouraging posters to buy watches they don't need / don't want / don't like.

I'm moving out of watches.

I've decided the hot action is in collecting fountain pens.

Well, perhaps not moving out entirely. But after receiving a classy little German number for my Birthday, and subsequently buffing up a couple of old flames from my youth, I seem to have stirred an interest in these lovely things. Consequently, I've resolved to establish a themed collection of vintage Parker classics. Perfect inspiration to start work on my first novel...

That's a nice watch with decent spec. Was expecting around £300 but a potential bargain at £150.

Added to my list!

Anyone watch Jody and his channel Just One More Watch on Youtube? His new watch brand Erebus seem to be going for £250ish excluding import and delivery so may just be eligible for this thread.

Any opinions on them?

I don’t think you will go wrong if you like them.

I decided against the Origin and haven’t regretted it. The Ascent seems like a much better product but it’s so generic to be uninteresting.

I think their products have the potential to get a lot more interesting over time so I am happy to wait until they come up with their own design language instead of the highly derivative stuff they’ve done so far.

That’s nice. Understated. Clean. Smart.

That’s a solid 8/10 from me.

Looks like a few bargains here. Just ordered a Portimao.

I'm a sucker for a car themed watch. Don't see the fascination with dive watches as I don't swim.

I've had a redwood watch previously and looking back regret selling it.

It was nothing special but it was a nice piece.

With a nice black leather strap that would go from sporty to dressy in an instant. Great find.
