I enjoyed it. Maranello is a brilliant place to visit.

Nope, you are correct, he did not disclose selling price or the buyer who may have been camera shy?

Maybe he even took a loss, who knows?
I doubt he'd have made any sort of profit. They're around £60k over here

More money to be made from buying a left hooker in this country and selling it back to the Italians. scratchchin

All a bit bizarre without the usual buyer turning up at the end. Isn’t the 348 regarded as a bit of a ‘dog’, whereas it was the 355 that really put Ferrari back on the front foot? Surely the 355 is still an ‘analogue’ car or however it was they described the 348 when extolling it’s virtues.

According to his twitter it went to an Italian collector for €69k.

I think it was an interesting idea but I am not sure it quite worked as well as normal WD, but props to him for trying something new,

Still a better way to spend a TV hour than most other programs on.

I quite enjoyed it. Good on Mike for trying to inject something new into what, let’s be honest here, is becoming a very old format. There’s a lot of cars coming up in this world tour series that I’m really looking forward to, even if most of the work is going to be pretty tepid.

The more time goes on, the more I admire the guy. His turn on the Intercooler podcast recently just shows how much enthusiasm he still has for cars and WD.

And yes, it’s nice to see Elvis with a little grease on his hands for once. No more spotless white t-shirts on this trip laugh

I'm a fan of Brewer. He tries very hard unlike some. A car trader mate employed him a long time ago and couldn't fault his work ethic.

Possibly it had not been sold before they needed to wrap up the programme?

Not like him not to admit he made a loss.

As above he is doing well injecting new ideas to keep people watching, if it was still Ed spannering and painting with rattle cans it would have run out of steam a long time ago.

I think he has in the past but always covered with the rider he was happy to see the car continue on its life with a new owner who'd appreciate it

I noticed he was wearing the black rubber protective work gloves where as the Italian guy helping him had pristine white cotton gloves on, they still have to be stylish even when working.

Just for information, the world tour is a one off series, the next series will be back to the old format.

Yeah, not quite - on the podcast Mike said they’re already planning a second series of the world tour, so sounds like they’ll run in parallel for a bit, a bit like he did with that ‘Trading up’ thing he did a while back.

Interesting but from what I was reading recently Discovery have not even agreed a new series after this one.

He is still advertising these magic pellets in the papers, anyone kept a car long enough to prove they work?

Wartime petrol was much rougher than the refined product now, cannot see the benefit TBO.
