Anyone see last nights Grand Design Australia ?

Small plot next to train track ….. I don’t want to include the spoiler.
But they showed great resilience.

Hats off to them.

Was it a repeat?
I have a series link but nothing was recorded or is about to be recorded?

Only ones showing for me were first shown in 2021? Series 9?

Well it's back on the market again, down from the £10m of last year to just £5.25m now.

A very sad story indeed, lost his fortune and his wife to that house.

Seen it a few times, a sad ending.

The disaster episodes are the most memorable though!

It is sad. But equally there’s just so much wrong with the project. The terrible driveways, the poor use of the site, the mis-match of styles. You knew it was going south the moment “The Eye” became the potential saviour of the project.

If he’d put up a steel-framed structure, he could have been up and running in a fraction of the time. The engineering and cost projections for the built house were simply astonishingly poor.

The current price may tempt somebody, and I can imagine it could be lovely to live in, but equally I suspect you’d be chasing snagging issues with it forever.

Perhaps he should have just built The Eye and left the original house as it was. That would have been grand enough on its own.
