They actually are. Most of the people screaming and shouting about ULEZ don't even understand it. It's all about hating Khan.
It's not a difficult concept to grasp - if Khan was giving tax reductions to owners of older cars there wouldn't be protests! They might still think he's a d1ck (and he is not alone in that category of politicians) but .. no protests.

That would make ULEZ pointless. Why have the charges if you're going to give the money back? confused

Yes there would. It would be "Khan hates the planet and wants to destroy it." The bloke could rescue kiddies from a burning building and a lot of people would be moaning that he didn't rescue their toys.

People do the same for all politicians.. Doesn't mean the there aren't some that have a valid point.

It's fair to say there are people who dislike Khan's policies simply due to their hate for khan, but if you can't look past those people yourself, you're not really much better tbh.

Lack of objectivity isn't a one sided thing.

The tories seem to be running the same type of fear mongering campaign they did last time round.

Not seen any polls recently. Presumably Sadiq Kahn is well ahead?

Actually made by Conservative Party HQ it seems. Utterly sick. They just get worse and worse.

Lozza Fox out of the race as he didn't fill his form in correctly.

All that education and he can't manage some basic admin huh? Even Count Binface managed to do it right.

I guess it saves him the ignominy of losing his deposit, every cloud.

“In now-deleted tweets, Mr Fox said his party had “checked, double checked and then triple checked our nominations” and would appeal against the decision, which he claimed was the result of “political corruption”.

But in an email also tweeted by the actor, election officials said nomination papers from two boroughs did not have the 10 supporters required, while three supporters from other boroughs “could not be reconciled to voter register records”.

Looks like we'll have to wait till tomorrow (Saturday) to see the results. Seems like a pretty close race as Susan Hall has narrowed the gap in recent polls.

Khan won by a country mile.

She ran a disastrous campaign beset by allegations of dishonesty, far-right sympathies and incompetence. My abiding memory of her will be dropping her Oyster card on the tube & someone handing it in but not before she claimed she'd been pickpocketed & insinuated it was a migrant.

I'd be amazed if she isn't trotters up in Tenerife by this time tomorrow.

A weak opposition candidate does not make Khant any more appealing. He is awful.

Even by current Conservative standards the Susan Hall selection was a PR disaster. Paraphrasing Malcolm Tucker, so dense that light bends around her.

I do wish he'd have done more about knife crime and shoplifting/anti social behaviour. Also the cost of living in London is ridiculous.

Which of his policies are you against?

Cannot stand his divisive identity politics approach. Just a deeply unlikeable character.

The knife crime debate is one I'm suspiscious of. No one in their right mind wants less done on it but Khan is regularly beaten around the chops over it, yet Andy Street is held up as a model mayor despite presiding over a higher level of stabbings in a comparable city. And neither have full autonomy over policing their patches. I smell a compliant press.
