I love that!

Less than enamoured with the location though.

The regulars will roll their eyes at this but - lots of scope for an indoor climbing wall!
Have to agree with that.

Think I'd want to see details of how that cantilever is engineered though!
Wouldn’t a cantilever have been thoroughly checked by the structural engineer and then whoever oversees the build and holds the risk of the warranty?
It certainly should have been. But if I'm going to live in a house & sink a big pile of money into it I would want to do my own checks (in the form of having an appropriate professional look at it).
Ah, ok. I wondered if you were a pro and had seen something odd. I think a problem should be covered by buildings cover after the house warranty expires but a structural engineers report would be peanuts in comparison to the price.

The house is very nice but it is pretty close to the A27. And there’s a very smelly pig farm nearby too which might provide some interesting fragrance when the wind is blowing in the wrong direction.

That's rather cool - lots of potential too to do all sorts of stuff.

But I like this one - back on the market... across the common to get to the pub.

Forgive the Guardian link, but all 5 houses are wonderful in one way or another. Although all 5 have shortcomings too!

Long story short; I want a house on the coast.

The last one (Anderby Creek) looked familiar: https://www.thesandyfeetretreat.com

You can thank me later for the Channel 4 link on the website.

Yes I like that. It does have {shudder} neighbours. But otherwise yes.

Looks like a good place to hide from the wife and kids. I'm sold.

Anderby Creek is just down the coast from Donna Nook bombing/gunnery range and almost next door to Mablethorpe.

Now if I could somehow arrange for some live ordnance to miss Donna Nook and land on Mablethorpe...

Love the design of the house, cantilever, big garage, views over the gold course etc....

However the location on the main road AND on top of the railway line leave somewhat to be desired.
That is very nice, but a sauna in a office is a very odd design choice...
Looks like an electric, internet purchase, plug in job, so not a deal breaker, probably could be relocated somewhere else easily.
More than likely. But my sister in law bought a place that had an internet purchase plug in one, the damp when it was removed…

yikes

Two things spring to mind:
1) Piss poor floor plan, no mention of the slide.
2) I’d buy that just for the slide. I have no kids.

One other thing leaps out at me. It’s dead opposite a Wetherspoons.

There's a thread on here https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&... full of people who would think that a good thing, because they could get a pint of Minger's Snatch, and food that looks like a tramp shat it, for a very affordable £1.75. Delivered within three minutes and no tip required.

If I was fortunate to have this sort of budget I don’t know if this would be top of my list. While’s it’s well kitted out, the layout of just not very homely. There’s better with much more land nearby for same price!
