6th in the league under Eustace, goals aplenty. The comedy of sacking Eustace and then bringing in Rooney and seeing the team embark on a winless run of six. Sliding down the league, how does he get the work?

Such an odd appointment.
I work with lots of Birmingham fans and they were all happy with how things were going.
Then Rooney gets appointed, likely off the back of his "name". He's Lampard mk2.

Won't be there by the time we play them on December 16th if this carries on.

It was a strange appointment, they were doing really well, idiot owners again.

Or Zola Mk2. It's not as if Birmingham don't have form for this sort of nonsense.

The Mirror reports the owners are considering sacking him. All over by the end of January I would think.

Let’s hope the owners learn something from this.

A race to the dole queue between Rooney, Beale at Sunderland and ETH at Manure.

And Gerrard in Saudi, who must look at Villa and realise he will never manage in the Premier League again.

Thought Birmingham were awful at our place (Leeds) today - can't imagine Rooney surviving much longer if they continue to play like that.

5th when he took over, now 20th after 83 days. Prick hehe

I've no idea how the clown show of some of these ex-England stars get these jobs. Clubs just attracted to the name?

Rooney, Gerrard, Lampard, Neville - All have made awful managers.

Birmingham have just got new American owners and Rooney was quite popular in the US with DC United. Can only presume they thought putting him in place would be a good thing to attract fans from the US market.

Birmingham appointed Gianfranco Zola some years back too and a similar thing happened then. Maybe it's just a Birmingham thing biggrin

The ideal man for the job is the one they sacked.

Wonder if they approach him, would he be interested?

Gerrard is stinking the place out even in Saudi, wasn't he tipped to be the next Liverpool manager?

You win with 83 . Longer than Liz Truss as PM though.

The Mackums actually seem to be doing OK under Beale despite no one rating him. ETH walking a tight rope
