Adrian Newey to Ferrari? Is it possible?

Joe Saward thinks Newey is most likely off to Aston Martin to work with his former colleagues Dan Fallows and Martin Whitmarsh. He also presents the logic that Le Mans is the only big race he's never won, and next year Aston are going to Le Mans with the Valkyrie, which was originally Newey's design...
Sounds crazy to me. Newey hates pushy bosses and environments. Nobody at his stage of career would go somewhere like that.I still think he will just consult a bit with Ferrari rather than be punching a clock there.
Aston is like just doing the same thing at the same place but with different colour shirt.

He's also known to not like Stroll senior or his style of management.
I would imagine there is only Lance and Lawrence himself that does. SpudLink said:
Does Lance actually like being there? Doing what his dad wants him to do, rather than what he would rather be doing. And being mocked by the fans for not being as good as his team mate, who happens to be one of the all time greats.
He gets to drive an F1 Car (and is better at it than some that have been and gone)He probably doesn't care...

Newey just chipped in with an opinion now and again toward the end and people probably forgot how valuable that was.
This generally happens in every job.
Couldn't agree more, particularly with people who've been there and done that. Companies tend to look at an individual's output and conclude that they don't do very much, when actually they save countless man days and money on projects, and contribute greatly to their success, just because they've been down all the rabbit holes and tried all the processes before, and know what works. This generally happens in every job.
No, I'm not bitter ??

Funnily enough you've mentioned tennis, I used to think exactly the same of Andy Murray. He never came across as enjoying it, was made to do it because of his mum.

Adrian seem to have as big a grin on his face when asked about working with Lewis at Ferrari as Lewis did when asked about work with Adrian at Ferrari.
Are they all just trolling us?!
Probably playing along with contracted terms of what they can divulge - whilst also revelling in the fact that everyone patently knows what's going to happen Are they all just trolling us?!
Why not troll a bit

Is that a fact that Lance was pushed into F1 because of his father or is it a case of Lawrence, who is exceptionaly wealthy, simply being able to support Lance who wanted to race from a young age?
I think it's a mixture of both. Lawrence has been involved in F1 since the 1980's, long before Lance was born, he owns a racetrack and a large collection of very impressive old racing cars, so is obviously in it for himself as well as for Lance. Lance himself wouldn't have got as far as he has, and had some success on the way there, if his heart wasn't in it, no matter how much he was pushed along by a parent. The determination to return after his injury last year was another sign that he could have otherwise used as an excuse for some time off.Gassing Station | Formula 1 | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
