Martini edition? Load of old cobbler's and looks crap. Paying a mil plus to advertise someone else's product, historic connection or not is ridiculous.
Less is more, just a simple paint job is all that's needed.
Just buy a "normal" EVO37 then?Less is more, just a simple paint job is all that's needed.

This one seems a bit mad price wise but the “normal” one at 400k actually seems quite reasonable in the world of some of these restomod type things.
From the description it doesn't look like it is a restomod but a new car from the ground up made to look like the original. You don't even get the heritage of the original either.Tycho said:

That looks incredible but the price is bonkers. I'd rather spend the money on an F40 or F50.
Then you need to find more money down the back of the sofa....Tycho said:

My question is will this be any good as we’ve seen in the past these ‘reimagined’ cars (stratos, delta etc) being pretty crap in terms of handling, performance and build quality. Almost like they’ve made a car that performs worse than the original donor eg F430, 488 etc. unless the remodelled car is much better I don’t see the point. Does look great though.
Love it. Looks fantastic and I still think the Martini colours probably look great on any car.

Or you could have bought the real thing for $588k at auction earlier this year and saved yourself a fortune.
This is a bit nuts though. I would say I suspect the real ones would never be driven though, but that's probably the same for a million pound homage. I like the 037. My dad had one and I drove it quite a lot. It's a good car but not really a great one. Sort of an interim between the Stratos ( lovely but crude ) and the S4 ( which is great though a little complicated ).
This one looks like it's trying way too hard.... And the price is ridiculous.

The livery just isn't good enough to do Martini-tribute justice. Also the wheels are way too big.
The Integrale Matini 5 also had similarly understated stripes. I personally didn't like the 037 works Martini livery much (or that on the S4) so I'm glad that they didn't replicate that on the Kimera.
I loved the works Integrale Evo Martini livery though.

Top Gear may have ridiculed the Hawk Stratos (possibly for comedic entertainment value), however Steve Sutcliffe gave the Lister Bell STR his approval:https://youtu.be/Xvs5jRi4h80?si=4XmyxRn_SLSiSMNt

Spectacular to look at!
Wait, something is missing….
Ah! Yes! The whining of people lamenting there are only 4 cylinders!
I strongly suspect if the original had had a sonorous v8 and these guys were trying to sell a 4 cylinder interpretation for this kind of money it would have been mentioned more than once but the obvious fact that the original had the same block makes it a bit of a moot point no? It's part of thr character of the car.with the turbo and supercharger a nice nod to the S4Wait, something is missing….

Ignoring the comedy price I absolutely love that. That said, a genuinely stunning original 037 in red sold for less than $600k at Amelia last month...

People rofl at RS1800 prices but it goes to show how values of other stuff is just as mad
Remember reading the road tests in Fast Lane, Car and the like
They were small horses in the road version
