Keep FK8 or DC5?

Long term keeper/put away car this time around. I hear the “cheap/dull runaround” thing a lot, but if I was in the OP’s shoes it would kill me to drive something like an i10 for 5 days a week, even if I did have a lovely DC5 in the garage.
I know there may still be no real compromise, but I’d personally have to have a “PH” type of car every time I shut the door. This could even be something like a Clio 182/Panda 100HP.

Exactly this and there's quite a few exciting runaround's including aforementioned, to pick up for not a lot of money. Its a tough one, both great cars. DC5 is a great car, personally i'm not the biggest fan as i prefer the rawness of a DC2. I've owed my DC2 for about 15 years - just had a extensive restoration arches, sill etc and fully repainted. Absolutely love the car, its got a very trick engine, suspension and plated diff so its a blast of a drive. I often have thoughts for selling the car but its hard to let it go.
FK8 is a great all round car for sure, maybe one day i'll own one but again my daily ticks all the boxes and the DC2 is generally tucked away.

Funnily enough I also own both of these, I bought the fk8 as with a 2 year old I wanted something more modern / 4 door while still being fun.
The fk8 is a great car and ideal for what I bought it for (though wish it was a little more forgiven over our pot holed roads).
However I will not lie, after spending all that money on the fk8, the integra is without a doubt the more fun car, it's obviously no where near as quick but still feels fast enough and just a complete event to drive, the throttle response, the small size and lack of weight make you feel as one with the car. I have a classic mini and it almost feels like a big, fast modern version of it.
Great car but after a year of not having time to drive it, not really having the room I've decided I need to put it up for sale.
Will be a sad day when it goes, if I had somewhere to store it wouldn't be going anywhere. I'm just telling myself I will have another 1 day!

DC5, I wish I never sold mine. I've not come across an engine quite like that jdm k20 and I've been in and driven all manner of stuff over the years.
So long as its just a toy for blatting in occasionally that is, and you're happy chucking money at it when needed.
Hated the seats, could not have lived with it as a daily.

As someone who's wanted an Integra since I was a teenager and still doubt I can afford one, and who's also sold cars that got positive attention and were more of a 'heart over head' prospect, I'd say keep the DC5 and see if you can make it work - it's going to be far less painful to regret selling the sensible car than the one you have more of an emotional connection to. Maybe you could then just buy a cheaper runaround for daily duties, but either way finding another sensible car is going to be far easier than finding another DC5!

1. If you have to sell stuff for a wedding, it’s not a wedding you should be having, your fiancé will appreciate your happiness I assume so would let you keep both?
2. Never, ever, sell something that you love that may appreciate in value because you can almost guarantee you’re going to spend double when you try to re-buy the bloody thing in 5-10 years time.
Keep the car, don’t have a free bar/12 white horses and a carriage/hair transplant and you’ll both be happier.
