I've had a C7 Allroad BiTDI since 2017. Fantastic car, really does serve a lot of purposes very well with minimal compromises. Currently on 96k, and only considering selling it to get a company EV and the beneficial tax treatment. I will miss the hooligan noise and discrete pace of the BiTDI though for sure.

Sad to hear that Audi may not produce the Allroad series any longer, they are a worthwhile addition to the range for those who want more than the average estate without going full SUV. Despite the history of the C5 and C6, I've not had a single air suspension issue over the years, which is to it's credit.

A few images from the last few years below. Thoroughly recommended. I had a C6 Avant 3.0 TDI Le Mans prior to this, which was also excellent.

bugger, how did that happen?

Someone has brushed the nose on mine, but thankfully it looks like no panel damage, just some scuffing to the lacquer. Still mighty annoying and I would like to see the perpetrators set upon by an angry badger, but it's a slightly scruffy car anyway so I am not losing sleep over it.

Ouch! Sorry to see that!

I know you mention "bronze" on the previous page, but what colour is yours, is it Dakota Grey? V nice, especially if you say you have the beige interior.

Great cars both. I will admit the Allroad doesn’t look as good in silver, err, sorry I mean Tornado Grey! It was however the cheapest example with the stuff I was used to ie LED lights, same wheels and seats etc. It has since had a very good report from the service, having been mostly been used as a motorway car by the previous owner.

100% my fault this time. Turned in on the sneck of our driveway too tight late one night on the way back from the airport etc etc.

I ve seen scuffs like that lifted before so have hope to make it more or less good.

how very proper, the only thing missing is being in the middle of a damp field with the de rigeur horse show burger van in the background selling overpriced 'meat' products.

I don't have much to do with 'orses these days, but some of my family still live for it. I might offer to tow their horse trailer at some point, if only to justify having a large estate that can do so.

Hang on, an allroad off road? Never gonna happen - the clue's in the name.

Ah well I've all-seasons on mine for living in the moors, and that day was to sunny Redcar for a run out with her dobbin and the dogs on the beach....

As above, really pleased with the spec on mine - I'd not bother with the interior blinds kit or the self closing doors the original owner picked, and would rather keyless entry.
But when looking it was for a Unicorn with a Factory Tow bar and a Pano roof, (not in white)
The OH normally drags the 'box with her Rav4, but as I am a romantic, I got for her one year for Valentines a westfalia removeable towbar fitted to the AllRoad.
Useful things are towbars.

I have never challenged the Allroad too much offroad, (other than in our paddock to spin it round) and it seemed good enough in the snow.

The previous 4x4 shed dragger I had was a series of Troopers. Whilst bith cars have a 3.0L D, one is a little more refined wink

I took my leased Allroad down a few green lanes, nothing too taxing though. It would certainly cope with a heck of a lot more than I put it through.

Put my winter wheels on today (C7 shape Allroad) - standard 18” Allroad alloys. The correct tyre size has 55 section sidewalls and my gosh, the ride is sublime. Not sure if I’ll put the 20”s back on at all! It’s not as if the ride is bad on 20”s; the air suspension works wonders. But I love the way it drives on the small wheels.

This is a nice segue into winter tyre discussion, does anyone know the correct size for winter tyres on a C6 generation allroad?

My research suggests they should be 225/55R17, but it's hard to find anywhere to confirm this

Have a look at the tyre pressure label on the car - that should tell you the right sizes for each standard wheel size.

I tried that, some rotter has removed it (well, the half of it that contains the useful information)

A bit of googling brings up 255/45R17, 235/50R17 and 225/55R17 all being appropriate on the standard 17x7.5" wheels. I can see why you want to check but if they're all Audi standard fit sizes then at least you have a choice of size and can buy whichever is cheapest smile

Thanks Jobbo, do you know if Audi have a standard fitment (BCD and offset)? I see a few sets of wheels advertised for Q5 that are the right tyre size but I am not sure if the bolt pattern and offset would be the same.

I have tried google but I can't find anything concrete and don't want to end up with the wrong size

I think the bolt pattern is fairly standard but it seems pretty much every Audi model uses wheels of a different offset. You may be lucky and find they fit, but there's a fair chance that they could foul the brakes and other suspension components.

Sadly my beard knowledge of wheel fitments is far better for old BMWs than Audis I'm afraid!

I had one of the C5 TDi Allroads, which was easily the least reliable Audi I've ever owned. That said, I still did about 100,000 mikes in it, and it got me places that would have been impossible in most other vehicles. It even impressed Land Rover types and that was just with normal tyres. Replaced that with a C-whatever the one with the BiTurbo is, which was very fast indeed but also (IMO) quite unpleasant to drive and despite its obvious ability I was glad to replace it with a fully specced A4 avant.

I've done a bit of research and it looks like the offset is fairly specific to the C6 Allroad; even the wheels from the normal A6 avant of the same generation won't fit. I've found a set of genuine winter wheels and tyres that'll fit, but they're in Germany so I am weighing up the pros and cons of bargain price wheels but £170 shipping eek
