Your house is the uncles old house. He sold it to you maybe 3 years ago I guess.
Even smaller world then!Yes, March 2021, so just over 2 1/2 years ago.
Please let him know we have had a package delivered for them, but we have no forwarding address
We still own a house across the road from you albeit we live a mile away.

I've sent you a PM to avoid clogging this thread up too much.We still own a house across the road from you albeit we live a mile away.
I have a feeling that once I have sold my allroad, I'll regret selling it and will end up with another one before too long, though maybe an A4 flavoured on next time as I really don't need something as big as the A6
Hello all...
Can I pick your brains please?
The wife and I have reached an age where we will have a couple more days a week and are contemplating getting a caravan to tour our country/abroad on long weekends thinking it will work out cheaper than air b and b's
We want a decent towing car, I would prefer 4x4, a decent engine, euro 6 (for obvious reasons), estate as I have suv's (big and no space)
I have seen Audi do a 3.0 litre A4. Questions are
Are they any good at towing, running costs, daily user etc....? I imagine 10 to 20k a year miles to be put on it
Do they eat tyres? Comfortable etc...
We had a V70 2.5 1999 for 23 years, and although a great car for just about everything towing was not it's best claim, we replaced it with an S80 but with a 1.6 diesel which couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding.. Any advice please on what these and A6's like as never owned an Audi (fell out with them when I was knocked of my bike by an Audi 100 when I was a kid and the barsteward just drove off..... but willing to convert)

^^^^^^ If you are looking at the B9 generation of A4 Allroads, then only the higher output 3.0 V6 diesel cars have tiptronic 8spd zf gearbox. The lesser powered cars all come with the double clutch S-tronic gearboxes. Therefore, from a towing point of view the conventional auto gearbox might be better such as the tiptronics. In order to differentiate between the different B9 Allroads available, it will only state tiptronic on the higher bhp cars. Can I pick your brains please?

I haven't owned an A4 Allroad so cannot comment on tyres etc. But on my A6 Allroad, tyre wear is no higher than any other big heavy cars with decent power.
Also, if you are looking at the older B8 generation of A4 Allroad, none of those are available with a conventional ZF box, they all have S-Tronics, whether they be 2ltr petrol & diesel or 3.0 diesel.
Good luck in the search. The B9 A4 Allroads are nice looking cars.

I'm getting on well with my A6 Allroad.
However, what is a pain is the inability to get out of the car momentarily (to close the driveway gate) without the engine cutting out - there seems to be a sensor in the seat that does this.
.....is there a clever way to disable that feature?
VCDS is the answer. However, what is a pain is the inability to get out of the car momentarily (to close the driveway gate) without the engine cutting out - there seems to be a sensor in the seat that does this.

You'll need to do a bit of coding. 46 module 07 coding 15 byte (last one) = 00

Does the DMS map really produce 400bhp?I’ve the same interior / Panoramic - but not the 400bhp

Rare to see the comfort seats in an Allroad. I'd love one with the flint grey interior package - https://www.audilatinoamerica.com/aola/web/lc/mode... - but I don't think I've ever seen one in the UK with it. I only knew about it from the brochure.
Hi and sorry for such a novice question:
I am very much considering an A6 C7 Allroad. Have approx £15k to spend (so appreciate it might be relatively high mileage) and want an auto. Not worried about the extra performance from the BiTDI.
I visited my local used car dealer (whom sold me my last car (Rav4) and who I trust) to ask if he would look out for one for me. He told me he wouldnt touch another Auto Audi as the last 4 he had had caused him nothing but trouble and lost him money (the worst being a £3k bill). The problems all being with the auto (I believe Stronic ?) gearboxes.
Are they really that bad? He sells all types of card and has no vested interest in not trying to sell me something else, he has just had his hands burned too many times to want to do it again and has warned me to do the same.
Are they really that bad?
My heart is set on one, but my head is telling me to do something sensible like buy another Toyota or Honda?
Thanks for your replies.

I had a scare with a previous one that may or may not have been linked to the the delay in the OilChange for the gearbox - something I believe they S-Tronic is very sensitive to. You could always slap a warranty on one for the first year?
