Hello folks,

Can anyone recommend a car soundproofing shop in SW London or Surrey?

Love my M2 Comp but the tyre roar on motorways literally gives me a headache and triggers tinnitus (many years riding loud bikes with no ear plugs - silly me...). Have a Euro tour coming up this summer so keen to see what can be done. Presume stuffing some sleeping bags in the boot won't be sufficient smile

Soundproofing is heavy. Maybe consider some moulded ear plugs?

Right, and how much of a noticeable difference do you think even 50KG of sound proofing would make to the driveability of a 1600+KG road car?

Not quite SW london but -
Jon Klies in Reading did a phenomenal job of soundproofing my M6 - it wasn't cheap mind. Was about £1800 iirc.

Inside doors, under floors, under and around boot, under roof lining. Made a world of difference, not just to total noise volume but the pitch and quality of noise was far more bearable. Doors had a heavy clunk afterwards too.

Probably +2 seconds on the journey to Waitrose. It all adds up.

I agree my OG obviously the same ie loud. Luckily it’s not a daily. I would imagine some treatment under the arch protection would certainly make a big difference. There’s loads of options these days for sound deadening. Not all of them are heavy.
