Cool - I think Timaru is actually an ok place, as long as you don't mind travelling to other places, if you know what I mean. It has a beach, close to outdoors for hunting, fishing skiing etc, property prices aren't too crazy and the climate is actually not too bad. It was good growing up in South Canterbury, I am in Scotland now but occasionally get the urge to return.

Taken tonight on the west coast of Gili Air looking towards Bali using a Sony RX100 Vii on auto.

My niece lives on the next island over, Meno, I keep saying I must try and visit, journey time (from UK) is the off putting bit.

I was on Meno the day before. We broke up the journey with a stop in Dubai. Emirates are pretty good too.

Once in Bali the ferry to Meno is a couple of hours. Lovely Island.

Yeah I agree, I liked it there and still get back there visiting family from time to time. Always preferred a small-town lifestyle close to the outdoors over city hustle and bustle.

I think there are a few airlines that do that route, heard Emirates are decent.

I have to say, I'm very pleased with this one, caught in perfect light. The amazing Steve Howe in the 2024 "Yes" tour - Glasgow 24th May.
