I’ve just watched the trailer (and probably the entire movie judging by the trailer). I LOVE IT. I was a huge fan of the original series. I may have the box set Can’t wait for this. But March 2024!!


ETA My other half has just informed he’s not only never seen but never heard of The Fall Guy!! I feel, let down, disappointed.

Also just googled the cast and Lee Majors is listed

At 0:40 in the trailer it looks like they've reused the truck. Why they didn't use the song (even if updated) in the trailer I don't know.

Maybe this will increase the value of the truck I have?

I checked his wiki page and was surprised he was still alive, he is listed as an acting credit in the new film for an unnamed part. So I am guessing he will be playing an unknown stuntman.

I had a listen to the original theme tune for the first time in 30 odd year as well.

I while ago I fell into a YouTube wormhole watching videos about all those TV Star cars. Apparently many of the Fall Guy trucks used for the jumps were mid engined (after it was found that normal front engined ones tended to land heavily on the nose).

It looks good but the cynic in me thinks that they're effectively using "The Fall Guy" brand to get those of us who remember it from the 80's. . i.e. if it was any good they wouldnt need to ride on TFG's (long departed) coattails.

Gosling is too young and shiny. It ought to be someone who can at least look grizzled even if they aren't, like Sam Rockwell, John C Reilly or maybe Titus Welliver.

Gosling is about the same age as Lee Majors was.

The others are far older.

I liked the TV series as a child, but I probably didn't understand much of it.

Will he have a bath tub in the front garden?
