JS "What your suggesting is not true"

Mr Beer "I haven't made any suggestion yet"

JS "Make a suggestion then"

Mr Beer 'Is that your default possition when answering the inquiry, that what i state is untrue"

flames

You couldn't make this stuff up.

How did his PA have access and login to his PC? It was his username on the Outlook cache / email.

Or is he just lying...
he is lying - needs a technical expert to point that out.

The secretary would have had access to his account linked into her own account, if she opened the doc then it would also appear in her temporary cache. His only possible out would be that she access his PC and opened/printed the document. If that had been a common occurance I am sure he would have already said it.

On the recent emails she can send emails on his behalf.

So whoever printed the document either

1) He did it
2) She printed it on his PC
3) She had his user name and password and was able to log on to his account

Given she could send emails on his behalf, there is little point to 3) and so it was 1) or 2) ?

pretty much exactly it. one would assume (yes I know assumption is the mother of all fkups) that given the document link was to his profile it was on his PC, it is not inconceivable that it is a profile for his account on her PC but that would mean that she would have to logout and back in as him to print/send etc and that is A) unlikely and B) would probably have been mentioned where they found that profile.

I cannot believe anything Singh says. Why have they let him leave the room? Have they checked him for cyanide pills? Is someone going to accompany him? This is a total farce.

Is there a lawyer in the country that hand on heart doesn't know the basics when it comes to instructing an expert witness (in that they know there is a process to follow) surely that is covered as part of the law degree, and if you're asked to do it you'd open up the law books and check what you're meant to do to refresh your memory.

Not one solicitor or barrister involved in the Misra case apparently knew how to instruct an expert witness, it's a blatant lie and an insult to the inquiry and their profession,

The file was sourced from his own physical hard drive from his own computer.

Are you sure? The path certainly refers to his login profile, but a profile name would be created on the PAs PC if she logged in to his account from her PC?

Yes I'm sure, it was stated by Mr Beer this morning where it came from.

So however unlikely it remains a possibility that the PA opened and printed the doc from his PC.

And did what with the printout? Used it for kindling?

It's beyond credible.

Just dipping in here.

There’s something I don’t get. Folk like these would have us plebs believe that they earn the big bucks because they’re the only ones with the brains, ability and backbone to make the big decisions. Yet, here we are: their name quite literally on the on the fking paperwork, yet they don’t know a thing about it and suddenly they’re as useful as a chocolate teapot.

s, the lot of ‘em.

I've just had a scoot through some of the highlights of this morning's session. Absolutely extraordinary performance from JS - he reminds me of Hugh Abbot from The Thick of It. So obviously out of his depth and desperate not to be pinned for something he's so obviously been responsible for.

I'm not watching so might be missing the point - but in the civil service job I did when email was first introduced in 1996, some people used to give their log in password to another person in their team and ask them to log in and look at their emails when they were on leave. And that was on their own computer as everyone had a fixed desk and their own desktop computer. That might be irrelevant to the point in question but I'm just saying we should be careful to judge things by current standards. As I say, apologies if I'm missing the point.

Just been catching up on today's events so far.

Obviously he's lying through his teeth the whole time.

One thing that gets me is that, like a naughty child, he spends the whole time looking down at the desk/screen infront of him. I don't think he has once looked Mr Beer in the eye the whole time he's been answering his questions.

The only thing he’s done well at today is to show how to filibuster. Just a constant stream of irrelevant bks!

JB: Would it have been embarrassing? Yes or no?
JS: I never met Second Sight

Wtf!
