Surely kambwala would be a better bet than casimero at center half

It has never worked playing him as a centre defender, but ETH keeps playing him there.

Well, Erik’s brand of maelstrom football is certainly entertaining. Need to keep Newcastle on the back foot though.

Great take. Good positive play and a thoughtful pass from Amad brought that result.

Good play, pretty sure he thought he was offside the way he passed it in.

Maybe, but he plays the whole game in such a relaxed manner you’d never tell the difference.

Not sure what to make of this so far. Newcastle seem to have had more of the ball and better chances, but somehow we’ve had more shots, more on target and are 1 up. Not the best advert for football, but I guess if we can hang on then it’s a positive and makes the last day irrelevant.

Going to be a long 25-30 mins if we’re just going to let them attack us.

No point going forward gung-ho though, best to keep it solid and carry on hitting them on the break with pace.

We have looked far better defensively the last 2 games with amrabat playing just in front of the defence.Bruno has played well tonight. Casemiro close to getting a red again.

I’d be more comfortable if we could break up their attacks, rather than letting them have a shot every time.

Good run stop / start to lose one defender, good strength to hold off the other and strong shot across the keeper.

What’s not to like?
