The way i have understood it, he is out of the design team immediately, and will spend most of his time tinkering with the road car project. I expect he wont be at the races anymore, Miami being his PR send off appearance. If he does do other races, it's likely sporadic.
I'm pretty sure his input into the RB17 road car is all done and dusted by now. They probably want him to hang around to do a bit of PR fluff when it's launched later this year. I saw the interview he did with Brundle, from that I gather the boat isn't yet ready, and the travelling with his wife and dogs through France is to be later this year.

I expect Mrs Newey is busy picking out curtains for a nice house in Tuscany.

Why? There’s little to be gained moving him to the back office at this stage. If you wanted to try and limit the transfer of knowledge you would have needed him to step back some time ago; and how much might that have hindered Red Bull’s development?
He is not in the back office. He is at the circuit with the team.

Which tells me there isn’t a deal.
Why would there be any negotiations about "garden leave" etc IF he wasn't going to another team.??
Not a clue. But he certainly didn’t come across like a bloke that was about to start again at 65 with a new team. He came across as bloke looking forward to well deserved retirement.

Bit sexist. He's the designer after all.

Next years RB car will already be in late development as well. And 2026 is mostly ideas as the regs aren't finished so no issue in him being around for the 2025 car.

Not meant to be sexist - it's just a saying. They probably hire an interior designer.

I wonder if Newey will be credited with the Red Bull next years WCC and WDC?

True. But then curtains don’t need to be aerodynamic.

I think he will take a well-deserved rest until the new rules are in place. Then, he will wield his mighty pencil at the inception and dip in and out, whilst enjoying whatever enthuses his creative juices. And so he should.

So to summarize…. He’s leaving RB, that much we know. He may take 6 months off, that much we know. Working with Hamilton wouldn’t be terrible, that much we know…. Everything else is just speculation or click bait ?

I read earlier than Jonathan Wheatley (RB Sporting Director) is already looking around for a new job. Apparently wants to be a Team Principal. Though his options are limited.

Agreed. And hiring EJ as manager is just keeping his options open. At this point in time, maybe AN himself does not know what he will be doing after six months

Apparently he can’t find a team that’s unsporting enough

Rumours about Ferrari aside, that's the crux of it.

And I do think he's going to be at Ferrari. He's the kind of guy that either works or withers away..

But even if the impossible happens and he simply retires, it's still 100% an RBR loss. A big one. Whatever Horner claims...

Looking at his wife's instagram, it doesn't look like the Neweys will be at any more F1 races this year (at least in a professional capacity with red bull).

I'm sure he'd be welcome as a guest at another garage though smile
