Ultimately, it would be nice (better?) if the top class had Suzuki and Kawasaki back, too.

More manufacturers, all competing with the new regs - that would be a battle worth watching. Surely?

No chance of those two coming back. Best you’ll get is a rumoured BMW entry or KTM resurrecting the MV Augusta racing brand.

KTM "could easily field another 2 bikes (4 with 2 spares) as they already asked Dorna for the 2 slots and badge them an MV's.

I think BMW may well join now, they have Guintoli and Smith both ex-GP riders as their test riders and I do wonder of part of Toprak's move was the dangle of the carrot to get to GP?

New regs will be the best time for anyone else to join, more of a level playing field at least.

Suzuki and Kawasaki might have come back if new rules were for hybrids. Suzuki said when they left they had no interest in a pure ICE development and Kawasaki already have a hybrid

Was not aware Toyota had power stake in Suzuki.

Have you seen a Suzuki Swace on the road? It's a rebadged Corolla.

Was allegedly because Suzuki were developing a diesel engine for Toyota, and got caught up in a emissions scandal.

There's no cost cap in MotoGP.

No, but they do have a road one, so you can see how such a formula might appeal

I agree he needs to go just for the simple fact that he's wasting a seat on the second best bike on the grid.

I am still a bit gutted that Fabio extended with Yamaha, so it'll be interesting to see what waves this causes.

Who we thinking??

I think Bastianini will jump there first before he's demoted, also to put one over Martin who's been sniffing the Aprilia seat for months and if Gigi does go with Marquez, Martin loses any factory ride he's after. Leaving just the Repsol Honda seat that Mir has hinted he wants to be highsided from rather badly.

Both Repsol riders want out, it’s only Zarco prepared to put the hard yards in.

Think Bastia will get that ride with JM as factory rider.

Marc to get same deal as jm currently but with Gresini

I just don't think Bastianini is the man they need

They've done the business with the bike, they still make mistakes as a team at times but the fundamental issue they have is they lack a prolific winner of races and championships
