After a long time away from bikes due to kids, work, etc I've finally found got something in the garage. I had a 4XV when they first came out in '98, a blue one and settled on looking for a reasonably low mileage one in decent condition but then this came up for sale and a deal was done.
I know the V&M colours a very marmite but as a TT fan, I always thought it was awesome. It's a 1 owner from new bike bought in 2000, last of the 4XV's for sale, 11500 miles, and was sent down to V&M for a few tweeks; full Akrapovic exhaust, reprofiled cams (around 159 bhp at the wheel last time dyno'd), Penske rear shock, Maxton tweeked forks and a Maxton steering damper, LSL rearsets plus the airbrushed paint. It has Dave Jefferies signature on the nose and both sides of the seat unit. All the original parts came with the bike too.

The first owner was waiting a while for V&M to finish the bike and wanted it ready to go over to the TT. It wasn't so he went over as a foot passenger and picked it up on the island where it had already done a couple of laps with DJ as rider! The first time he saw the bike it was being wheelied down the Glencrutchery Road.

The bike hadn't been used for quite a number of years but having been serviced and MOT'd, and now having been out on it a couple of times, it goes very well and gets a lot of positive attention. Plans eventually are to get a set of PFM front discs and calipers and possibly some Dymags. Cheers.
