Hello, I have just bought a “project” 1993 Chimera 400. I cannot figure out what some of the interior buttons and lights do. (Some I have determined.)
The buttons are:
- 3 buttons on the right hand side of the lower dashboard section (right of radio). There are 4 unknown lights above these buttons and 3 below.
- 3 small lights between the rev-counter and speedometer.
- 2 small switches and 1 large button next to the ignition key barrel.
- 1 button above drivers right knee (I have figured out this is the boot button)
- 1 button above drivers left knee

If anyone could shed some light on what any of these button/switches/lights do that would be very helpful!
Thanks!

Fog ligths, main beam and lights.
For the 4 lights, you should have the ECU error, the parking light, brake fluids, inertia switch.
For the 3 below, fog light, main beam, lights.

- 3 small lights between the rev-counter and speedometer.
It depends, if the top one is green, this are the indicators (in 96 you also have it near the 3 buttons mentioned above).
Then oil pressure could be one of them, or in the rev counter.
You could have the alarm too and the alternator (or in the rev counter).
This is really depending of the year.

- 2 small switches and 1 large button next to the ignition key barrel.
I don't see, a picture would be nice. Some have added a button to force the fans, this could be the case here.

- 1 button above drivers right knee (I have figured out this is the boot button)
correct

- 1 button above drivers left knee
Dashboard illumination (I know someone who dismantle the whole dashboard before following the wires and understanding that it was not illuminated because he accidently touched this button).

I'm sure I downloaded a full manual previously in PDF format but this will help you from a search.

But this one is a Mk2 dashboard, a bit different from a 94 model.
Tonight I will try to scan my user manual but this is for Mk1.5, which is also a bit different.

Owners Manual PDF is available on both the TVR Club website and also Blackpool Thunder but I suspect you need to be a member to access it.

Ah yes I missed that bit. I'll leave my posts there as they may help someone sometime.

Some of it may be of use especially the full manuals but unfortunately as Zeb74 says I've posted the mk2 dash where as you have the earlier one.

On my 94 Chim the 3 lights between the speedo and rev counter are

Top - Alarm indicator, flashes when armed (red led)

Middle - Oil pressure (orange led)

Bottom - Ignition (red led)
