Small plate, or massive schlong?

For what it's worth I am quite a fan of the Lidl coronation chicken sandwich filler. Way cheaper (of course) than the Waitrose version and tastier to. My 2 cents biggrin

okay, its not ALDI or LIDL. but american hot is probably my fave of the generic pizzas, ALDI used to do one but stopped when they did the detroit american hot.

This one from Iceland actually has quite generous amount of jalapenos on it and heat to it. It had more heat than i expected, not as much as their 'scarily hot' range (which is barely around in a typical year). but it was hot enough to make me not want to eat the whole thing..something i only ever did with that scarily hot pizza. It being stuffed makes it perfect for the garlic & herb dip that ALDI has.

I bought some ripen at home avocados from Morrisons and THREE WEEKS later you can still use them as anti tank shells.

I like Morrisons tbh although I've found that if you stick to their own cheap brand, Waitrose is a pleasant place to shop and not that dear.
i think its just an avocado thing - very rare any prepacked "ready" avocado ia anything like ready

I've tried those, for similar reasons, but I found that the heat was more intense than the flavour, and while I could finish it, it wasn't really all that "nice". Have you tried the Chilli Dog from the same range? I much prefer it to "American Hottest", because while it's very spicy (to me) it also has a decent flavour. The Chilli Dog is my joint favourite with the Aldi Detroit-Style Americon Hot at the moment.

The "Scarily Spicy" pizza was, I believe, a Halloween tie-in, which is why it was only every available around October and November. Again that's a bit too hot for me, but that didn't stop me buying a couple around that time. Seems to have gone now though - I didn't see any last year and it's not on their web site.

I'm still a love of the ALDI Calabrese Salami as a cheap and easy pizza, bit of chilli flake and salt on added top

I had a Vindaloo ready meal that I bought from Aldi the other night, wasn't expecting much but was actually decent.

I've not seen it in any promotions or mentioned here, but ALDI now do bratwurst (regular and with chili), similar to the ones you get in LIDL. Seems like it's a permanent item. Found on the shelf with all the chorizo, salami, frankferters, frikadellen,

a return of a previous item then, always used to do these on the bbq

I still keep an eye-out for that.

Didn't come back last year - but I did try it (due to comments on here) the previous year... I like hot food: first half was okay, second half I was a mess... thankfully there was a magnum hiding in the freezer and I managed to regain my composure.

Proper hot!

Anchovies went and then came back. Now gone again

My favourite, staple, Scottish oatcakes have also now disappeared.

This is one of my pet hates about Aldi - stuff you regularly buy is suddenly no longer stocked and no explanation is given. grumpy

Indeed. The Lidl 'table water' crackers/biscuits are similar AWOL. At least with Tesco etc if they drop a line then there's usually several other brands of the same product to get instead, but with Lidl/Aldi it goes from one (own) brand to nothing.

These are new in Aldi and, as I've discovered, more addictive than the fully loaded salt and vinegar peanuts.

Just got as pack today +1 from me.
