Adrian Newey to Ferrari? Is it possible?
Discussion
This always happens when a talisman like figure leaves a team, football etc. You diminish thier contribution.
Only a load of idiots would run around in circles wailing about what will we do now?
I think Newey just chipped in with an opinion now and again toward the end and people probably forgot how valuable that was.
This generally happens in every job.
Why you have things like post office scandal/NHS various messes and the like.

I'm not sure he'll have to manage Hamilton that much. And I think he'll be straightforward with Leclerc too, just as he has with Sainz. Whoever is faster gets strategy priority and then it's all about what is best for the team. Leclerc will know that he has to up his game and become a far more consistent performer.
I think he will manage it fine, just going to be interesting vaud said:

I think he will manage it fine, just going to be interesting I guess there are fans that follow a driver and fans that follow a team, nothing wrong with that. In more a fan of the sport and so the prospect of Hamilton in a newey designed Ferrari does make me froth a little, especially if they’re fighting a strong field. I’d Deffo be doing all I could to be their garage scrutineer in 26!

The radio interactions are going to be fun. Hamilton will probably be more assertive, like Sainz rather than Leclerc. Not sure he'll be very happy with the stock "we're checking" response though...
Lewis will probably take his current engineer with him won't he?deadslow said:

I wonder if a lot of the "RB" fans will suddenly become LeClerc fans?
most probably already are. Both current Ferarri drivers are superb in the car and good characters out of it. Always great to see either/both doing well. Christ, grow up.It’s like the Glasgow sports shops, where they actually sell hundreds of £50 shirts for whoever is playing England in the World Cup. They have no positive affiliation, only a negative one.

Couldn't agree more, particularly with people who've been there and done that. Companies tend to look at an individual's output and conclude that they don't do very much, when actually they save countless man days and money on projects, and contribute greatly to their success, just because they've been down all the rabbit holes and tried all the processes before, and know what works. This generally happens in every job.
No, I'm not bitter 🫠
Joe Saward thinks Newey is most likely off to Aston Martin to work with his former colleagues Dan Fallows and Martin Whitmarsh. He also presents the logic that Le Mans is the only big race he's never won, and next year Aston are going to Le Mans with the Valkyrie, which was originally Newey's design...

Lewis's grin leads me to believe that that Newey is heading to Ferrari.
He won’t have any grin next year when he will be beaten by Leclerc. If Lewis does well good luck to him.
If Lehklerrhke does well good luck to him.
But you're probably right, sadly.

Seems unlikely when the other option is working with a driver and team he has stated he would have liked to have done during his career. Go for that option or the loving embrace of Lawrence Stroll whilst working with his miserable and at best average son.
Nah.

All down to what Newey wants, obviously.
If I was about to take delivery of a rather lovely Oyster Yacht, I'd rather moor it in the Med or the Adriatic than the Channel/Irish Sea.
I think it would be fantastic if it happens, I'd love to see Leclerc and Hamilton battle it out in a championship winning car, throw Max into the mix with both Russell and Lando in competitive cars and it would be a great season, not to mention Alonso.
It's such a pity that with the current crop of top drivers that the cars just don't allow the racing we'd all like to see.

The Valkyrie is going to take a lot to turn it into a genuine contender vs Toyota/Porsche/Ferrari. Peugeot, Lamborghini and Alpine are showing how hard it is with Cadillac also up and down in the middle somewhere. I reckon it will make a genuine challenge for Newey which he may well love.I do wonder how long Aston Martin as a car manufacturer can continue independently and whether that will ultimately put an end to F1 and Le Mans etc
