Does my driving fit an EV?

That's the world I'm now in.. but, tbh, even those granny charge rates will be easily good enough for the vast majority of people. I slightly regret investing in a 7kw charger, as I just reduce the amount of cheaper electricity that I get.
Does your evse allow you to control current supplied?annodomini2 said:
For the OP, most EVs would meet your needs.
Guessing it's just you on commute. Do you need to carry loads stuff? Or a family in tow on some of the journeys?
If anything Tesla would be more than you need.
Mostly on my own, transporting kids sometimes. I'm looking at i-paces too as the 3 is a bit small really. The sensible choice would be an older Kona, monthly could actually be less than what I'm paying for fuel right now, I'm not retiring for another 30 years at least though.Guessing it's just you on commute. Ok WhatCar article here on the comparison:

Although they miss efficiency, the Model 3 is much more efficient, especially if you get the facelift with the heatpump. They do a range test, but the ipace has a much bigger battery.
Tesla-info have a vid on Youtube showing their metrics on battery degradation, the Facelift China build UK M3s with the LR LG battery are seeing on average a 5% drop in range over 100k miles. Which is really good.
The LFP ones should be better as these cells have a typically higher cycle life (roughly 50%).

You want to pay £300 a month in order to save £200 a month? That makes no sense to me.
Essentially the car is costing him £100pm in depreciation right? You would struggle to find a half decent used car that doesn't depreciate a similar amount and you then have to factor in:
1. Its won't have the latest tech
2. It won't be the exact spec/colour you want
3. Its likely to need some maintenance over the years above the norm
4. Its likely to cost extra in VED. At the moment anyway
£100pm for a brand new car seems a great deal to me.
