Just read this in the news. Shakey is suing for his crash in testing at Snetterton in 2018.

Mr Byrne, of Sittingbourne in Kent, is suing British Superbike Championship organiser Motorsport Vision Racing, track owner Motorsport Vision and the sports's governing body, the Motorcycle Circuit Racing Control Board.

I’m surprised this is happening to be honest.

"He says better protective measures should have minimised the injury risk to riders who veered off the track at the 200mph circuit."

He's not making himself popular by doing this.

Presumably, if he succeeds in getting a massive payout, it’s going to be ridiculously expensive for every circuit to get their compulsory public liability insurance, and in many cases they are going to have to do a whole load of unnecessary works to comply with risk-averse underwriters?

Motorsport is dangerous, it’s been written on every sign-on form and every spectator ticket since forever.
