I hope this is the correct place to post.

The property behind mine has turned into a building site and they are storing expensive diggers / equipment in the garden. The builders have erected a wooden post with an outdoor security camera (to keep an eye on their equipment no doubt).

The other half is convinced that the bit circled red is a camera pointing at our property. I have also provided a picture without any edits for reference.

Is anyone able to kindly confirm what this is? Or even better, which camera this is.

At first I thought it was a sensor, but after zooming in it may be a bracket?

Either way, I don't think it looks like a camera!

Looks like a camera but pointing to the right (i.e. not at your garden, although it could almost certainly rotate to look at your garden). The round black bit we can see looks like the pivot for the camera to tilt up and down.

Agreed. Have tried to annotate the image.

It looks like a PTZ (Pan, Tilt, Zoom) setup & the bracket pivots are the tilt axis. The rectangular box with a clear window on the front might be an infra-red light source.
