Hi I have found a 981 Boxster for sale at an OPC, everything looks ok mileage, owners etc the only thing I'm not sure on is the red roof with the guards red body, I think black would of looked better. Can a black canvas be fitted and if so what sort of cost would it be? Many Thanks 9heres a link to the car)

I personally wouldn’t buy that car, guards red is a good colour but that beige interior is frankly awful, I know tastes differ and it might have been not as bad had they not specs the steering wheel and well everything in beige.https://finder.porsche.com/gb/en-GB/details/porsch...
Also you can see why they didn’t take pics with the roof on, red and red doesn’t work.
Find another car and be patient, there are cars out there don’t waste your time or money trying to have a black hood fitted because whenever you come to sell that interior will be a deal breaker.
I would also want 20” wheels either turbo II or carrera classics or something, those look like 18”/19” again will prove harder to sell.
Also consider a manual, and whilst I’m biased as mine is a manual it’s a very good gearbox, they are rarer than a PDK so if there is no physical or legal reason why you need an auto have a go in a manual as well, but appreciate if your heart and head is set on PDK fair enough.
Best of luck in the search.
It will be the same red roof that is on my GT silver car. It will never look good on a red car.
It works with well with Silver, grey, white and at a push Black. Nothing else.
You will never sell it again
Move along… and leave the dealer holding that pony…..there are many nicer colour combinations around.

Your best option would be to dye the roof, replacing it will be 2.5k minimum even with a used roof but honestly I don't see a reason to bother, the dealer should really be bending over backwards to sell, their attitude suggests to me that it could be a SOR as it's uncommon to take age of car in for stock.
The OPC salesman said the price is fixed at £28991 when I asked about the possibility of changing the roof/colour, I basically said if they could do that I’d be happy to buy? The car was then advertised two days later for £500 less £28491. No one ever got back to me and tbh I’m happy to wait until something pops up that suits me better.

I have seen far worse colour combinations that have sold no problem, there will always be people out there that will be swayed more by history/condition/the deal, than by colour alone. It works with well with Silver, grey, white and at a push Black. Nothing else.

Not seen the car in the metal but based only on what has been posted it appears to be a decent car with a good history at a fair price (OPC sale - 2 year warranty etc etc).
If it ever stops raining that car will sell, you only need one buyer to sell a car, not ten tyre kickers.

What would the same spec car be worth with a black roof and black interior?
Yes you only need one buyer, bur with such a controversial colour mix, the liklihood of finding that one buyer is significantly reduced, unless you substantially drop the pricey or sell it to Stevie Wonder

Time will tell.

It looks like the red/red 981 sold, as mentioned on here the low ownership and sensible mileage were attractive! My own search ended up with this example a 718 in Miami blue 1 owner 13k miles ????
That red/red was always going to sell, just not to you.More to the point you have found what you want, looks lovely and if it ever stops raining long enough you will get to drive it - enjoy
