Land of Bad
I wouldn't say it was a gem as such but I know some of you like this type of thing
The explosions from the missles from the reaper drone were spectacular.
another thumbs-up from here - a few wince-inducing moments aside entertaining I wouldn't say it was a gem as such but I know some of you like this type of thing

Some of the banter pre-mission was spot on, as were a number of the operator drills.
However, the timing near the end was too close and weakened it for me.

Thought it was well acted though.

I thought it was just OK. But then I had just read the chirp chrip thread and quite a few of the annoying Hollywood tropes were in the film so were pretty jarring. Especially the fact reaper managed to drive half way across a city and onto an airforce base in ~ 2mins
Thought it was well acted though.
Especially as Mr Russell Crowe is now carrying a few extra poundsThought it was well acted though.

I actually appreciated the fact he's fat. It's more believable that someone who flies a drone from a desk in the US 8 hours a day would be on the larger side. Prisoners of War, the show that inspired Homeland, had been a recent watch. If I’m honest, it drove me nuts as it was 24 episodes that could have been done in 12. It was also unbelievably corny in places, with lots of piano being played in a minor key when it really wasn’t needed. Still, passed a few hours.
