I didn't go too deep. I used these guys who are well known and trusted.

I combined the remap with a downpipe, front mount and sports cat and it pulled like an absolute train and had no issues going to the limiter.
That's always good to know, it seems a number of these tuners use DO88 parts too or BSR. There's still quite the following and availability of modified parts for Saabs, which is handy! haha https://vermonttuning.com/

What kind of power did you get in the end?
Yeah I had a DO88 intercooler.
I never put it on a RR but it would pull on 335i's.

That's good to know. Certainly in gear it's very punchy. It's surprising that the 0-60 time is only 6.5 seconds which is comparable to my Megane with front wheel drive and 225bhp. In gear, I'm confident the Saab would edge it though.
I happened to have an R26 before the saab. It was tuned to 310/350. Had a louder exhaust and lightened flywheel so had more drama but I do not think it was as quick once moving.
I don't think I ever rinsed the saab off the line

Clearly a man of distinguished taste with a Renaultsport and a Saab collection, much like myself haha. It was tuned to 310/350. Had a louder exhaust and lightened flywheel so had more drama but I do not think it was as quick once moving.

I had a Megane 225 Trophy that was mapped to around 265bhp and that went very well to be fair. Was so long ago I can't quite compare in my head. I'd say this Saab in gear is probably not dissimilar to my CL500, that's 380bhp but of course heavier. Gets to 60 quicker but from a rolling start it'd be close.
As a birthday present my other half bought me a set of these car shades. We have had them in a number of vehicles over the last few years and always impressed. They're car specific so you get a precise fit and can open the windows with them in place. Unlike actual tints you can remove them and put them in another car, does a good job keeping the interior cooler.
Before
Hard to pic up on camera but here's the after.

Thank you. I must admit they have really got under my skin this last 12 months or so. Bought my convertible one for daily use and it's been really good. This one is a little more special, albeit in a very subtle way that only a Saab fan would appreciate.
I do like the idea of a re-map as with 300-310bhp it would surprise a few cars. Not the big stuff but some of the hot hatches around.

Taking this one to a local meet tomorrow morning and having been sat still for nearly three weeks was in need of a wash. Pollen/dust plus the odd rain shower on a black car is never a good mix.
It does need a proper polish as there's some marks on there which definitely would come out with a machine polish but it's really not in bad shape.
Social media isn't good for much but the odd ad does pop up that catches my eye, so ended up getting a custom air freshener.

Just had some of these delivered for some of our cars - nice little finishing touch to a car
They really are and considering you get a decent bottle of the scent to keep topping it up, actually they're a really decent price. They seem to be made of a material rather than cardboard like a Magic Tree. I couldn't get one for my CL but picked this one up for my Megane 225. Managed to get a fairly prime spot at the local car meet! I was a tad outgunned in literally every sense but good morning out. Was one of only two Saabs at the event. Considering there were about ten M3s, various AMGs and rare Fords (that was the theme) I was pleased to be in the Saab haha

I have a Hirsch 2.8 fwd estate and full power isn’t available in first or second. They were never 0-62 machines -more built for safe overtakes once rolling.Miserablegit said:

That would make a lot of sense in terms of how it drives. Off the line it's nippy enough but 280bhp and 4WD in the likes of an Evo or even FWD cars tends to give a 0-60 in under the 6.5 seconds this car does. Where as 3rd through the gears when you're on the move, it really gets a move on. Miserablegit said:
I’ve had mine since new - my only regret is I didn’t go for the 4wd option that you have . They are great cars - hope you enjoy it.
That's awesome! There can't be many original owners now so cool to have been the one to spec it. The 4WD seems like a pretty rare option, I'm not sure it makes a huge difference to the handling. I tend to throw my convertible into the bends more than this one. But I think that partly comes from the convertible feeling so much lower. Seating and ride height wise. Alex_225 said:

Can either of you please post a link to these? Many thanks.manmaths said:
A lovely future classic this one!
Cleans up really well and those alloys are spot on.
Yeah the alloys are very cool, and very Saab! Cleans up really well and those alloys are spot on.
The Carlsson ones came with these in silver, these are diamond cut but will be re-cut soon. They're original and completely un-kerbed, but they have tarnished as the usually do. The'll be diamond cut again and the colour powder coated and the lacquer powder coated too so they'll last. They don't look bad for 15 years old and 130k though.
