Essex based motorcycle training by an extremely talented chap. Of course I'm biased, he got me a gold Rospa!
He also trains with the poice on bikesafe. Well worth a visit if you're on two wheels.

advanced motorist skills
Does eating a sandwich, setting a sat nav, drinking a cup of coffee, steering with my knees while changing lane on the motorway mean I can call myself an advanced driver or do I also need to press the indicator with my elbow to truly exhibit fine motoring skills ??? or is this a different type of advanced driving

Is the IAM the best place to start? I want to improve my skills and prepare for the fact that my eldest will be 17 next year. I've also got one eye on becoming an instructor in the future, any advice appreciated. I'm based in Staffordshire btw.
Its a good place to start but like anything it depends if you get a good observer/tutor/adviserBlue62 said:

Carling might actually be a more 'effective' product. I can recommend doing the advanced driving course and getting it completed. I did it a few years ago and I got rid of several bad habits and all round Im a better more considerate driver. Yes I like my sporty driving but I just see potential hazards much quicker and automatically. It does reduce insurance with some providers but I found the cheapest insurers are still the same price so no money saving. Can't recommend it enough though.
