I'm still debating over this, as I've seen what my friend does with his XL BGE, but the wife bought me a new Weber BBQ last year for my birthday. I'm sure this will do things far better than the Weber would, but would I still use the Weber is the issue scratchchin

I ordered one last year and it never turned up. Not going to take the risk again.

Get it ordered, you'll be really pleased.

It's not really a 'risk' with a credit card, it isn't your money if it doesn't turn up!

I got a refund after a month and about a dozen phone calls to Aldi’s incompetent customer services. They even offered me a spare one out of stock that they keep in reserve for when they go missing (that says it all really that they keep stock cos the delivery drivers nick them) but that didn’t turn up either.

Do it!

I have one and a kettle trolley/table, I bought a rotisserie for that so I can cook a variety of things at the same time , I also have a smaller portable BBQ and a chimenea. FIRE!!! biggrin

I've just taken delivery of a rotisserie attachment for our 2021 AK & ordered a basket attachment for chicken wings this morning. On the hunt for a skewer attachment for it now. Will post pics of the rotisserie later if anyone is interested.

Much obliged!

Does it come with a pole to rotate on and do you need to rotate manually or does the heat cause a slow rotation?

Maybe I need more rotisserie items ...........

Picked up a mini kamado yesterday - I know I need to cure/season it.

Plenty of vids on YouTube but…

Do I have to use lump wood charcoal moving forward?
Can you use normal charcoal?

https://www.steelsmokin.co.uk/ - steel rather than ceramic and quite often does Aldi deals on his Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/groups/2628473853833647

Lumpwood only in a kamado, briquettes can taint the ceramic and the excess ash will restrict airflow
