'The General'
It's a total dustbin. Absolutely stock and picked up for around £600 with just 87K on it (not really run in from the 4.0 I6). I've always found with my Jeeps that, although they always work, nothing attached to them works quite right. I'm glad it's a sport, it's not got any toys to go wrong.
I use it for general 'dirty' duties such as hauling around bags of cement, collecting wood or dragging a trailer around. I did have the chance to take it on an off road this year, where it didn't show itself up at all! Not bad for stock and running on eBay special 215 75 15 ATs (it looked Tiny next to the more 'prepared' 4x4s, see bottom pic). The fun did come to a bit of a halt when I slid it sideways in to a bank and pushed the tyre off of the rim whilst trying to get around a broken down discco.

My little Suzuki LJ80Q, 30 yrs old and rebuilt by an expert. Massively modified to go offroad although I normally just use her for gentle laning as she's very rare (only 12 left on the road in the UK). Very occasionally she gets to go and play properly offroad and she's tough as old boots - tiny wheel base and track means she fits in between obstacles with ease and she just keeps on going!
SJ1300 engine, 5 speed box & transfer box so flies along very well indeed compared to the weedy original, sj axles with disc fronts, power steering, reverse shackled and spring over axle conversion plus a very big, heavy duty body lift (hence extended brake hoses) with long travel modern pro-comp shocks means she's got awesome ground clearance. The mud terrains (15x10.5") give her the grip she needs and driving her is a hoot!!!
Currently for sale? Or are there 2 similar?SJ1300 engine, 5 speed box & transfer box so flies along very well indeed compared to the weedy original, sj axles with disc fronts, power steering, reverse shackled and spring over axle conversion plus a very big, heavy duty body lift (hence extended brake hoses) with long travel modern pro-comp shocks means she's got awesome ground clearance.
