I got this too and I'm not impressed. I don't think Netflix is worth £10.99 a month but I really dislike adverts and just won't watch at all if they're included. I may go back to Prime and pay to be advert free as at least I also get free delivery
I've got until June 7th to consider my options.
Prime isn’t advert free anymore. You’ll get free delivery but you’ll also get ads.I've got until June 7th to consider my options.

ASA569 is clearly aware that you have to pay extra to be advert-free on Prime Video.

Don't think ours is anywhere near that, but ours is rolled into our Sky subscription. For all their faults, Sky do seem pretty good at shielding you from Netflix price increases ime.
Sky don't offer the full fat Netflix anymore with Q, this is a pay extra option. I've still got full fat on a rolling contract but I don't know when this will end and they'll ask for more £ Clockwork Cupcake said:

Has anyone else on the Basic plan at £7.99 pcm received an email saying it is being discontinued and you are being automatically 'upgraded' to "Standard with adverts" at £4.99 pcm, but if you want to be advert-free like before it will be £10.99 pcm?

Very annoying. I've seen this before with other things - gets to a point where they've run out of ideas/not clever enough to grow the business, so instead just make you pay more for what you already have. I already have, and want, Netflix without fking adverts, but now I have to pay more for it.
Alternatively, I can have adverts, but the smokescreen of 'paying less' is still us paying more because being forced to sit through ads is us making money for them.

As somebody posted either on here or similar thread; having finally provided an offer that stops people illegally streaming, the industry is doing a damn fine job of convincing people to start illegally streaming again.
I'm mildly enjoying that unlocked/prison experiment programme but otherwise I can't remember the last thing I watched on netflix. I also downgraded from 4k to HD in the previous round of price hikes.
Like others I won't pay for a dedicated streaming service that includes ads. I have Prime for the delivery. Paramount was £35 for a year so why not. I borrow Disney from somebody but use it maybe once a fortnight - I certainly wouldn't pay for it.
I seem to spend more time scrolling through endless pages of dross than I do actually watching anything now.

I have Disney+ as a "Lifestyle benefit" on my Lloyds Bank current account. But even there, I notice that this year it will be a "Disney+ with adverts" subscription rather than Disney+, so they're all doing it. Unclear if it's a deliberate business strategy or just a consequence of increased competition, but the pattern above does have a name:

(Which the profanity filter censors, but I'm sure you can figure it out...)

You could also call it shrinkflation (or skimpflation), of sorts. In the sense of getting less for the same money, or needing to spend more to get the same as before.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ensttification

But, yes, your link sums it up very well.

Dead boy detective agency.
From the same universe as Sandman - Gaiman as producer.
The two leads take some getting used to, particularly the faux cheeky chappy one. Similar design and editing, effects as Sandman but not as gripping.
Still better than most of the new stuff out.

Finished last night and must say that I really got into it. The two main characters aside, the supporting cast was great - some genuinely funny dialogue and got pretty dark towards the end.
Set up for another season - I hope it gets one.

I have paid for Netflix through sky for the last few years ,it has been cheaper than subscribing directly to Netflix .Baron Greenback said:
Just finished 3 Bodies problem, like the premise of the series but the ending was disappointing as so obvious not wanting to finish much of the plot line for next season.
May give house of ninja next a go.
A lot of people have said this but the best series finish on a cliff hanger for the next season. May give house of ninja next a go.
If they tied up the plot completely at the end of the first series why would you bother with a second?
I think people are used to a story being stretched over 8 episodes and that's that.
