Conversely, I think the TV series just scratched the surface of what went on...
Maybebut they showed her pleading guilty in court, stalking his comedy shows, her glassing him,. her ripping the other woman's hair off, them having sex - pretty crucial stuff to make up...
I suspect it was the other way round - minor stalking that he has exaggerated to make a show.
Saw the Piers Morgan interview yesterday the flat denial thing is interesting. Surely Netflix have an army of very highly paid lawyers that would have seen evidence of all of the things alleged in the show? Sure there is going to be some artistic licence involved but the basic facts have to be backed up with evidence. Given that the show would have completely destroyed her reputation if the claims were unfounded it would leave Netflix and the production company wide open to a pretty serious libel claim. Given that she's a lawyer this would have been extra watertight surely?
On the flip side if she's a lawyer do they not have to uphold certain standards with the Bar Association? Or is she even a lawyer? Clearly a complex person. the truth probably lies somewhere in-between what she was saying and the show.

Did the court case and subsequent sentencing happen or not? Kind of a critical factor to whole story and is a straight forward yes/no answer.
Apparently it’s not that easy to look that sort of thing up. In America you can find that info publicly but not here. I’m guessing you would need to do a dbs check or something similar and then you couldn’t say anything bag was in it for GDPR reasons.
BUT, I find it hard to believe piers never phone hacked Morgan or the daily mail can’t find out.

I suspect its pretty much true, she is a fantasist and the denials are in netflix favour as it keeps it in the public eye and makes them a few more million. I wouldn't say she is necessarily in on it, but has little to lose as it could give her more than she could make it a lifetime and she will quietly disappear.
She gets paid off and the net gain is positive for Netflix.

I watched the interview of the real 'Martha' with Piers Morgan on YouTube at the weekend, she's absolutely crackers.
I felt he slipped up by letting her get various denials in, which someone with his connections could have easily disproved/proved as applicable.
Unless he's struggling for sources now he doesn't have the Mirror's money to pay bent coppers for information.
