Today I start preparations for my Isle of Skye expedition. 3 of us ‘boys” are headed for the island on Friday. We have an overnight stop in an Airbnb west of Sterling and then off to Skye via the Mallaig ferry on Saturday until Wednesday next week.
We are staying in Uig at the top of the island and are spending the time birding and landscape photographing. One of my friends is a professional photographer. The other an expert birder, so I will be in good company. Me, well I am an expert plane spotter.
Today it’s prep the guest room and guest bathroom ready for my friends overnight stay on Thursday, he’s coming up from Kent, do the weekly and holiday shop, lay out my gear ready for packing. Tomorrow it’s prep the Kroc ready for its epic journey.
I will endeavour to post a daily Snoopy but will depend on connectivity.

By the bye, sorry to be pedantic but it's Stirling. Don't spend too much time looking for Sterling.
I'm a bit of a plane spotter too, on the quiet. I spotted this beauty on eBay. The little known Stanley Bailey No.7.
Bit of a brute it is, but I have learned to love it.
Ah yes thanks. It looked strange when I typed it. By the way that’s a lovely plain you have there.
Artnoon all.
Thought I'd best make an appearance following my recent absence, I was very saddened to learn the news about dear old pequod. RIP old fella, good sort he was.
I'm afraid things aren't so great here, Futtette's not in a good way following the loss of her son. Grief counselling is the next thing on the cards, hopefully there'll be some way forward there.
I've sold the old Yamaha, probably getting too bloody old for buggering about like that anyhow.
"What's that you're looking at now, you old goat?"
"Little Toyota, I'm trying to be sensible"
"Looks like a V12 Vanquish from here"
" Does it? They're both silver"

A Vanquish?
It's a beast.
You've done that gag recently.
Yes, I know, but I can't remember where, so it doesn't count.
Does that make sense? I'll keep buggering on with this calculator until it does. Somehow.
"Just get one of those Yaris things, Bom. They're cheap to run"
"So is this bugger. I reckon we could get away with a hundred quid a week in fuel"
"We?"

Hello Bomma,it’s good to see you back here. Terrible business for the both of you. All our best to Miss futtete.
This too, and best wishes to Futtette, hoping the counselling helps. It was good for my daughter after Steven was taken away, but it took a little time all the same.
Love from the House of 404.
Good afternoon one and all!!
Firstly and most importantly, much love from the Bobbers household to Futette and yourself Bomma, counselling may not help everyone, but it certainly can help you understand what you feel.
Secondly, I managed to get a decent walk in down to meet Mrs Bobbers tonight, 8500+ steps today, not in Dermot O'Logical's territory, but happy enough with it.

"Are you still on Auto Trader, you old goat?"

The Jag's 10 years old now, old chap, I'm doing my best to consolidate the loss of the R1 and the replacement of the Jaguar into one sort of reasonable package.

I keep thinking "what the buggery bks do I replace it with?"
It's been very good to me, in that I've spent very little on it apart from regular servicing.
It's been a great car. I should maybe keep the old bugger.
