Please PHERS help me solve a past odd neighbour situation
When I lived in Swindon 6+ years ago , it was on a street that was about 2 miles long of terraced houses facing out to a small yard then a road, the road was fairly busy cut through, not a busy road but a fair amount of people passing through
One of the houses had 2, yes TWO clocks facing the street from their lounge front window with the correct time??
This has bothered me for years, I could maybe for a second understand having one clock facing the street, maybe the person who lived their was a postie, who walked past several times a day. But TWO clocks facing the street????? WTF?
Here is a street view that captures the clocks in their full glory:

I came home to an odd one. A note from one of my neighbours asking if he can come and have a closer look at my new-ish front door as he's had a quote from the same fitter. I presume out of politeness he's specified that he only wants to see the outside. However given that he pushed the written note through the door in question I do wonder what he hasn't already seen?

Having fallen out with my new neighbours over parking,(well im a pistonhead I may have some cars)
I have become the odd neighbour
If i have to talk to her I just stare at her t**s
I will run the camper van to warm it up with its blend of pre cat diesel fumes blowing across their garden
My two stroke strimmer is great when they have friends around and are sat in the garden
I have been known to drill a rock or two for fun
i have chased their dog off my garden muttering that i will kill it if i catch it again
It may be time soon to ask them if they have taken the baby jesus into their souls?
What a lovely man you sound. I have become the odd neighbour

They also seem to think its okay for their friends to park anywhere including on and over the pavement.
So F*** em. Ive tried to be reasonable, we all have to live together etc but its fallen on deaf ears, she nearly had my wife in tears last week and for that reason alone I will continue to upset them.
My neighbours are generally delightful.
Which adds to my annoyance that when their children visit with grandkids in tow they think it's perfectly acceptable to put a cone in the road outside the house so they can park up.
Considering parking is a challenge for everyone round here and we have a young child of our own I simply can't abide this selfishness. Last time I put the cone on their doorstep and parked there anywayz...
Really annoying because they're otherwise very decent folk.

Yup. Add in tedious, trite and unimaginative.
I remember once on one of the rare occasions that I wash my car, one of my neighbours pulled up in her Fiesta and trotted out the "you can do mine next" line. I wasn't in the best of moods at the time and fired back "That joke has been around since cars were invented and hasn't got any funnier since." She never spoke to me again until her and her family moved out.Gassing Station | The Lounge | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
