The only things I'm looking forward to this weekend now are the Thursday press conferences. Could be spicy.
How much choice do Red Bull have over who they put up for these? I'm kind of hoping they send the PA Mike Krack (Aston Martin)
Zak Brown (McLaren)
Laurent Mekies (RB)
James Vowles (Williams)

Sergio will be asked endlessly about Newey leaving, and if his relationship with Horner. Lewis will be asked endlessly about Newey going to Ferrari and if it was a complete surprise to him...
I'm not sure if you saw it, but It pretty much panned out as you said with very little else. One thing that did stand out is how belligerent, petulant & disinterested Stroll is. He obviously doesn't want to be there and it showed

Yea Lance seems checked out. 30 odd races where a guy old enough to be his dad humiliates him has taken its toll..

I can't see the FIA giving a dispensation- however there are still 9 races after Kimi Antonelli turns 18.Petrus1983 said:

Mercedes need to know if he's up to being a 2025 driver or not.
Given the number of private tests that they are giving him they will have a lot of data already?thegreenhell said:

He does seem very unhappy. He's a talented driver who ought to be spearheading Aston's 2025 Le Mans attempt. Might take a few years to win the thing, but that's got to be more fun than being continually on the back foot in F1.
Yep, plenty of journeyman F1 drivers have done really well in sportscars. Lance heading up an AM Le Mans effort next year would be great for him, and must be better than being thrashed every weekend by a guy old enough to be his father. Petrus1983 said:

I can't see the FIA giving a dispensation- however there are still 9 races after Kimi Antonelli turns 18.We’ve seen Antonelli have one silly accident in F2 already this year, so can see why it makes sense to stick to the rules as they are now, even if he’s potentially the next Max or Lewis.

Wolff is waiting to see if he can get Verstappen. If you are Russell's manager, you've got a headache.
Yes, but that won't happen until '26, so they still need a driver for '25. If they do manage to sign Max for '26 then I can see them sticking Antonelli in for next year, and treating it like a shootout between him and Russell to be Max's teammate in '26. Russell's contract runs out next year as well...Sandpit Steve said:
The Super Licence rules came in as a result of Max Verstappen turning up in F1 at 17 with only a year in cars - and, to be charitable, something of an aggressive attitude in those early years. Obviously a prodigal talent, but needed a little bit more maturity with the benefit of hindsight.
We’ve seen Antonelli have one silly accident in F2 already this year, so can see why it makes sense to stick to the rules as they are now, even if he’s potentially the next Max or Lewis.
But it's rite of passage that the young upstart comes in, causes all sorts of mayhem before maturing, then one day complains bitterly about the antics of the next generation of young upstarts. Surely it is only right and proper for Max to experience that, and it would make great TV.We’ve seen Antonelli have one silly accident in F2 already this year, so can see why it makes sense to stick to the rules as they are now, even if he’s potentially the next Max or Lewis.
